1. TERRORISTS ORDERED TO COMPENSATE THEIR VICTIMS
by Arutz Sheva Staff
The military court in Judea sentenced three terrorists who carried out an attack with an explosive charge to pay the two women who were injured in the attack a cumulative compensation of more than NIS 30,000 ($8,000), as well as prison terms.
The attack took place in 2016 when two women from Otniel were driving on Route 60 in the southern Judaean Mountains, south of Hevron. The three terrorists detonated an explosive charge as the vehicle passed by.
The victims were shocked by the sound of the explosion and their vehicle was struck by shrapnel. They fled the scene and called the security forces.
All three terrorists were charged with attempting to murder the women in the indictment.
One was also charged with complicity in the manufacture of a bomb and another was accused of complicity in carrying, possessing, and manufacturing weapons.
The sentence was reached in a plea bargain between both sides three months ago, and was reported Tuesday by the Honenu legal organization, which represented the victims.
The terrorists received various prison terms and fines totaling NIS 30,000, which have been transferred to the victims.
Honenu attorney Haim Bleicher said that the case represents the growing participation of victims of terrorism in legal cases against their attackers and praised the high compensation imposed on the attackers in addition to the prison terms.
"We see value in the fact that terrorists are forced to actually pay money to those they injured," Bleicher said. "In addition to being imprisoned for their actions, their money will be used for the welfare of the victims they wished to slaughter only because they were Jews."
"We are working to ensure that in the course of the legal process, the victims of the offense will be the concern of the legal system, and not, heaven forbid, pity for the murderers," Bleicher added.
2. 3 WOUNDED IN AFULA SHOOTING
by Arutz Sheva Staff

At least three people were wounded in a shooting incident in Afula Tuesday, the Israel Police reported.
One victim is in serious condition while two others were moderately wounded.
The vehicle carrying the suspected gunman fled the scene. Roadblocks have been set up to catch the suspect.
Magen David Adom (MDA) Paramedics treated the wounded at the scene and evacuated them to Haemek Hospital in Afula.
MDA Paramedic Yossi Halabi said: "When we arrived at the site, we saw three young men in their 20s lying with gunshot wounds in their bodies. One of them was conscious and had gunshot wounds on his lower body. We gave him life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him urgently to the hospital while he continued to be treated when his condition was severe and unstable. Two other young men who suffered injuries to their lower bodies were fully conscious and after initial treatment they were evacuated to the hospital when they were in moderate and stable condition."
The police foreign press spokesman stated: "Police units in the city of Afula respond to shots fired from a vehicle at a local business. 3 people injured, one seriously, two moderately, units and helicopter searching the area for vehicle that fled the scene."
Police believe the shooting was criminal in nature.
3. ARAB ATTACKS FEMALE ARMY RADIO REPORTER
by Mordechai Sones
An Army Radio reporter was attacked by an Arab while she was covering the fire in Jaffa earlier this week.
The reporter was pushed and threatened by one of the family members who lived there.
According to the report on the Walla Berenger website, the incident sparked widespread discussion among soldiers and employees at the military radio station. The news department head allegedly warned in a work Whatsapp group against leaks on the subject.
Army Radio responded: "During coverage of the fire, the soldier was injured when she was next to the son of the deceased in the disaster. The son, who was enraged and angered at police conduct, raised his hand and hit the soldier's back.
"The soldier reported to her superiors and the incident was handled by the relevant channels," the response said.
4. BRITISH LABOUR PARTY RESCHEDULES YOM KIPPUR EVENT
by JTA
A public event set to defend the British Labour Party against charges of anti-Semitism was rescheduled after critics pointed out to organizers that it was scheduled for Yom Kippur Eve.
Several of the speakers scheduled to debate the issue at the event in Bristol in the southwest of England are Jewish, the London-based Jewish Chronicle reported, including a representative of the Jewish Voice for Labour organization.
Organizers apologized to JVL and moved the event a day earlier. "The organizers made an error and after JVL pointed this out to them they changed the date so any Jew who wants to can attend and no one is unnecessarily excluded," a JVL spokesperson told the Jewish Chronicle.
A similar event was held two weeks ago in London. Several Jews were prohibited from participating after organizers expressed concern that they would be disruptive, the Jewish Chronicle reported. Attendees at that event were caught on camera making anti-Semitic remarks.
The event is being held under the banner "Corbyn, Anti-Semitism & Justice for Palestine." The event description reads: "Criticism of Israel is being conflated with anti-Semitism in ways that threaten free speech and the right to protest while silencing Palestinian voices."
5. SECURITY CHIEF BLASTS EUROVISION'S 'GALLING' DEMANDS ON ISRAEL
by Hezki Baruch
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) blasted the European Broadcasting Union over its list of demands on Israel for next year's Eurovision Song Contest, tentatively set to be held in Israel.
"This is a complete disgrace," Erdan told Army Radio Tuesday morning.
"I don't know how they had the gall to make these kinds of demands. I hope that the Prime Minister won't accept these outrageous conditions."
Erdan said that while it was acceptable to require that Israel not to interfere with the contest for political reasons, Israel must be able to screen out potential security threats and retain the ability to bar anti-Israel activists from entering the country.
"It is legitimate to demand that there be no political interference in the running of the show, but to demand that anyone who comes to perform be allowed in, even if they violate the country's laws or even if they are, for example, activists pushing for the boycott [of Israel] who are coming just to hurt Israel – that is an outrageous and disgraceful demand that we cannot accept."
On Monday, it was revealed that organizers of the annual song contest had sent a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, informing him of their conditions for the Eurovision contest to be held in Israel.
The demands reportedly included:
The granting of entry visas to Israel, regardless of political opinion
Visitors may travel in Israel without restriction, regardless of their political views, religion or sexual orientation
Freedom of the press and utter expression to all participants and delegations
Removing religious restrictions and performing general rehearsals on the Shabbat
Complete independence for the Kan radio broadcaster
6. 'TRUMP IS ANTI-PALESTINIAN'
by David Rosenberg
A senior Israeli-Arab lawmaker who served as an advisor to the late Palestinian Authority chief Yasser Arafat accused President Donald Trump of being "anti-Palestinian" in an interview on Sunday, and derided offers for the formation of a Palestinian-Jordanian confederation as part of a final status agreement.
MK Ahmed Tibi (Joint List) spoke out on Army Radio Sunday, following claims by the left-wing NGO Peace Now that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas said that representatives of the Trump administration suggested the PA form a confederation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to sources within Peace Now, Abbas said that special White House envoy Jason Greenblatt and White House adviser Jared Kushner had asked him if he would be open to the idea of forming a confederation between the PA and Jordan.
"They asked me if I believe in a federation with Jordan," Abbas said at the gathering. "I said, 'Yes, I support a triple confederation with Jordan and with Israel'. I asked if the Israelis would agree to the offer."
Later on Sunday, Tibi lashed out against President Trump and derided the administration's offer.
"Donald Trump doesn't understand the conflict. He has no connection with what is going on here. He's an anti-Palestinian president who is surrounded by messianic advisers."
Following the report regarding the alleged offer to form a PA-Jordanian confederation, the Jordanian government released a statement rejecting the idea, saying such an arrangement "isn't on the table - only a Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital."

Monica Lewinsky on Monday walked out abruptly from a Hadashot TV conference, when Hadashot chief anchor Yonit Levi asked her, "Do you still expect a personal apology from President Clinton?"
"I'm so sorry, I'm not going to be able to do this," Lewinsky replied before getting up and leaving.
8. TERROR FUNDS FOUND AT HOME OF JERUSALEM HAMAS MEMBER
by Mordechai Sones
[video:2046920]
Police and Shin Bet agents Sunday raided the home of a Hamas terrorist in East Jerusalem who received support and funding from the terrorist organization. This activity is part of the campaign by security forces to locate and confiscate terror funding and support mechanisms.
Forces searched the house and seized cash totaling NIS 18,000. The money was seized and confiscated.
In the past year, police have confiscated a total of NIS 300,000, vehicles, and jewelry in homes of more than seven families who received support and assistance from the terrorist organizations.
The police say Hamas-funded involvement of Jerusalem residents in various modes of operation is a serious offense and constitutes an attempt by the terror organization to gain a foothold inside Jerusalem.
"The Israel Police and security bodies continue to act with determination to reach anyone who received terrorist funds or expressed support and encouragement of terrorist activity. Their property will be confiscated and they will be prosecuted."
