1. 'MADRID IS ENCOURAGING VIOLENCE AGAINST ISRAEL'
by Nitzan Keidar
Israel protested to the mayor of Madrid about the festive visit she organized for terrorist Ahed Tamimi, who was convicted of incitement against security forces and attacking IDF soldiers, for which she served eight months in prison.
Tamimi was accompanied by her family at the invitation of the city leaders and the Real Madrid soccer club at the stadium of the Spanish team, Bernabeu.
Real Madrid did not make do with a special tour played by former soccer star Emilio Butragueno, but also prepared a jersey with her name printed on it.
Daniel Kutner, the Israeli ambassador to Spain, sent a letter of protest to Mayor Manuela Carmena. "The move by the Madrid municipality encourages violence against Israeli civilians and undermines any attempt to create a genuine dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians," Kutner wrote.
Kutner added, "Ahed Tamimi is not an innocent fighter for peace, but an instigator of violence and terror. Any institution that welcomes her indirectly promotes violence and aggression instead of promoting dialogue and understanding."
Foreign Ministry spokesman Emanuel Nahshon wrote on his Twitter account, "The prestigious soccer club of Real Madrid embraces a terrorist inciting to hatred and violence. Shameful."
"Ahed Tamimi is promoting violence against Israeli citizens. @realmadrid-receiving a terrorist that incites hatred and violence is something that has nothing to do with universal football values."

3. HUNDREDS ATTEND FUNERAL OF ARI NESHER IN CENTRAL ISRAEL
by Arutz Sheva Staff
The late Ari Nesher, who was run over last week while riding an electric bicycle in Tel Aviv, was laid to rest on Sunday afternoon.
Hundreds of family members, friends and acquaintances attended the funeral at the cemetery in Moshav Udim in central Israel.
Before arrival at the cemetery, MDA motorbikes held a ceremonial ride in honor of Ari, who volunteered in the organization.
Nesher's organs were donated by his family after his death was determined, and went to save the lives of five patients.
At the same time, the arrest of soccer player Yitzhak Aspeh, who was suspected of running over and abandoning the late Ari Nesher, was extended with agreement this morning until Tuesday.
At a hearing in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, it became clear that Aspeh had begun to cooperate with his interrogators, following several days after his arrest in which he insisted on preserving the right to remain silent.
4. ISRAEL CONSUL GENERAL'S DAUGHTER BULLIED BY 'SJP' AT COLUMBIA
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Ofir Dayan, 24, an undergraduate at Columbia University and the daughter of Israel Consul General in New York Dani Dayan, said she is being harassed and threatened by campus student group "Students for Justice in Palestine" (SJP) - and that the school administration is failing to protect her.
"SJP is violent," she told the New York Post. "I'm worried about my personal safety."
Dayan, who previously served as an IDF officer in Gaza and Lebanon and now studies political science at Columbia, described to the New York Post a series of tense encounters with the anti-Israel student group since beginning her undergraduate studies, which have been ignored by administrators.
In one incident during fall 2017, Dayan was talking in Hebrew on the phone in the lobby of the campus building which houses the "Middle East Institute" when, she said, "A girl heard me and started screaming, 'Stop killing Muslim babies! . . . You're a murderer!' "Then she screamed, 'Zionist, get out!' A nearby public-safety administrator did nothing."
In another incident during October 2017, Dayan said that she and four other members of the "Students Supporting Israel" (SSI) group, of which she serves as Vice President, were leaving an on-campus event for Israeli beauty queen Titi Aynaw, when they were spotted by SJP members.
"They started screaming their slogans with a microphone to intimidate us. There were at least 50 SJP members blocking the walkway," she described.
"They were really angry and it was scary," Dayan said. "I believed it would escalate to physical violence."
A complaint SSI filed with a student run "adjudication board" was ultimately dismissed by a school administrator who advises the board as being "too complicated" for the board to deal with because the incident in question was from a previous semester.
Dayan said that the hostile atmosphere at the university has gotten worse since February 2018, when her father spoke on campus and SJP set up mock checkpoints nearby to intimidate those in attendance.
A month later, SJP members shouted "terrorist" at her as she handed out literature for "Hebrew Liberation Week."
An administrator told SSI at a subsequent meeting that the school could not do anything without proof of anti-Semitism.
"I thought the university would protect me, but they didn't do anything when [protesters] called me a terrorist," Dayan concluded. "The school stands by as I'm harassed."
5. REAL MADRID'S GUEST OF HONOR IS TEEN TERRORIST
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Real Madrid, a Spanish soccer club, on Friday hosted teen terrorist Ahed Tamimi.
Tamimi served an eight-month prison sentence for attacking IDF soldiers, and has since said that her goal is to "eliminate Israel."
Tamimi met with Emilio Butragueño, a former Real Madrid player.
She also received a soccer shirt sporting her name and the number 9.
Real Madrid welcomed Palestinian teenage activist Ahed Tamimi to the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday after spending eight months in prison for slapping an Israeli soldier in December 2017," the team tweeted Saturday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon tweeted, "The prestigious soccer club of Real Madrid embraces a terrorist inciting to hatred and violence. Shameful."
"Ahed Tamimi is promoting violence against Israeli citizens. @realmadrid-receiving a terrorist that incites hatred and violence is something that has nothing to do with universal football values."
6. RABBIS URGE IMMEDIATE CONFIRMATION OF JUDGE KAVANAUGH
by Mordechai Sones
After a day of painful testimony from both Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Ford, who accused him of misconduct 36 years ago during high school, the Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 1,000 traditional rabbis in matters of public policy, renewed its call for the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court. The CJV stated that to abandon previous evaluations of Judge Kavanaugh based solely upon uncorroborated testimony would violate both Biblical and accepted modern standards for evidence — and basic fairness as well.
"The Bible not only doubly emphasizes that 'justice, justice shall you pursue,' (Deut. 16:20)," said Rabbi Dov Fischer, West Coast Regional VP of the CJV, "but it also enjoins us to avoid peddling in unsubstantiated rumors (Lev. 19:16). People can easily make mistakes and harm the innocent. Furthermore, we should be judged on the totality of our lives, not merely on one alleged incident, and certainly not on an incident that is unsubstantiated and unprovable."
While appreciating the pain of the events experienced by Dr. Ford, the Rabbis pointed out that the Senate was prepared to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh as an extraordinarily well-qualified candidate until opposing Senators pulled out her initially-anonymous letter as a last-ditch effort to block the vote — and then failed to corroborate her charge.
"Is it now the American way to discard an outstanding candidate," asked Rabbi Yoel Schonfeld, Vice President of the CJV, "based solely upon an uncorroborated, unsubstantiated accusation that is even contradicted by those named to support it? It is immoral to besmirch someone's name in the court of public opinion on 'evidence' that would not stand in a court of law."
The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), the largest rabbinic public policy organization in America, articulates and advocates for public policy positions based upon traditional Jewish thought.
7. "MAJOR POLICE OPERATION" SEALS OFF COPENHAGEN AREA
by Arutz Sheva
In a "major operation," Danish police have shut major bridges to traffic and halted ferry services from Denmark to Sweden and Germany, Danish police said Friday.
The island of Zeeland has been sealed off.
Police said that the Oresund bridge, which links Denmark and Sweden, and the Great Belt Bridge, which links Zeeland and Funen with the Danish mainland, have been closed.
The Aftonbladet newspaper said a Swedish-registered car was being sought in connection with a kidnapping.
All traffic to and from Zeeland is said to be at a standstill according to local media.
[twittervideo:2047690]
Thor Wilkens, a press spokesman at Copenhagen Police, said: "We can not even say what it's about."
All of the ferries between Rødby-Puttgarden and Gedser-Rostock are reportedly closed, and there are no trains to or from Zeeland for the time being.

1. GERMANY: PLOT TO ATTACK ISRAEL WITH CHEMICAL WEAPONS UNCOVERED
by David Rosenberg
A Syrian national recently arrested in Germany was part of an apparent plot to attack Israeli targets with chemical weapons, the German Bild newspaper reported.
Last Thursday, Germany's special police unit, the SEK, arrested a 21-year-old Syrian man in Berlin. At the time, police said the suspect was wanted in connection with an April 14th assault in the German capital.
The suspect allegedly assaulted a man he claimed owed him 4,000 Euros, kicking the victim in the head and holding a knife to his throat while demanding the money.
On Thursday night, however, it was revealed that the suspect was also wanted due to his alleged terrorist ties, and that he had been behind a plot to attack Israeli targets with chemical weapons.
Local police acknowledged that the suspect had been taken into custody last week, without confirming details regarding the alleged terror plot. A police spokesperson did say that the suspect was "very dangerous", and that he was under investigation for a matter unrelated to the assault charges stemming from the April 14th incident.
German media outlets, however, reported that the Syrian national had planned to attack Israeli targets as part of an Islamic holy war on the Jewish state.
To this end, the suspect recruited other Syrians and reportedly prepared an explosive device. The bomb was apparently intended to be used as part of a chemical weapon attack.
The precise type of chemicals and the target have not been disclosed.
Germany's Federal Intelligence Service said it had been tipped off by a foreign agency several months ago regarding the suspect's plans. Local authorities later tapped the suspect's phones.
Police conducted a search of the suspect's residence, but say they found no incriminating evidence. The suspect apparently entered the country illegally, using a fake Libyan passport.
2. NETANYAHU TO UN CHIEF: SEND IAEA TO INSPECT IRANIAN NUKE SITES
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu urged the United Nations to request that the international nuclear watchdog group check the information Netanyahu provided regarding Iran's nuclear program during his United Nations General Assembly address Thursday, and to inspect sites in Iran which Israel claims are used to store nuclear material.
Netanyahu met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the UN Building in New York City Thursday night, and urged him to request that IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano check the information and inspect the new sites that the Prime Minister revealed in his address to the UN General Assembly.
The Prime Minister claimed Thursday that Iran is operating a secret facility in Tehran to store massive amounts of equipment and materiel from Iran's secret nuclear weapons program.
"In May, we exposed the site of Iran's secret atomic archive, right here, in the Shor-abad District of Tehran. Today I'm revealing the site of a second facility— Iran's secret atomic warehouse. It's right here, in the Turquz-abad District of Tehran, just there miles away."
During his meeting with Guterres, Netanyahu also raised the issue of Israel's captives and MIAs and said that the UN must do more to elicit additional international community pressure on Hamas to release them. The Prime Minister said the UN must act on the issue given the fact that it was the UN that mediated the ceasefire in the framework of which Hadar Goldin was abducted.
The remains of two IDF soldiers killed in 2014 have been held by the Hamas terror group in Gaza since August 2014.
Avera Mengistu, who is believed to still be alive, was taken captive by Hamas in September 2014.
A year later, another Israeli citizen, Hisham al-Sayed, was taken captive after he crossed into the Strip.

A passenger plane crash landed in a Pacific lagoon Friday morning, while attempting to land at a Micronesian airport.
The incident occurred at Chuuk Island in Micronesia Friday, when Air Niugini – a Papua New Guinean airliner –Flight PX073 attempted to land at Chuuk International Airport, Air Niugini said in a statement.
The company cited difficult weather conditions and poor visibility as factors in the crash.
"The aircraft had 35 passengers and 12 crew members aboard, all of whom were able to safely evacuate the aircraft," the airline said.
A number of passengers did report multiple injuries, however, including several with broken bones.
Matthew Colson, a Baptist missionary on the island, said most of the passengers were Americans and Australians, along with a small number of locals.
The plane failed to reach the runway, Australia's News9 reported, crash landing into a Pacific lagoon.
Other reports, however, said the plane overshot the runway, crashing into the water after hitting the end of the runway.
"I thought we landed hard, until I looked over and saw a hole in the side of the plane where water was coming in. And I thought 'Wow, this is not the way it is supposed to happen.' We came in low - we came in very low," said passenger Bill Jaynes, who works as editor of The Kaselehlie Press in Pohnpei, Micronesia. "Unfortunately the flight attendants panicked and started yelling. I was trying to be calm and help as much as I could."

4. TRAIN CONDUCTOR AVERTS TRAGEDY AFTER TODDLER WANDERS ONTO TRACKS
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Tragedy was averted in northern Jerusalem Friday morning, after a small child wandered onto train tracks.
The incident occurred on the light rail train line early Friday morning, between Ammunition Hill and the Givat Hamivtar neighborhood.
As the northbound train approached the Givat Hamivtar station, the conductor suddenly spotted a toddler who had wandered onto the train tracks.
The young girl appeared oblivious to the train's approach as she played with a toy baby carriage on the tracks.
The train conductor managed to break early enough to narrowly avoid hitting the girl, with the train coming to a halt just yards away from the child.
After the train stopped, the conductor waited for the girl's mother to retrieve her daughter.
Following the incident, a spokesperson for the Jerusalem light rail system released a statement urging parents to take care to ensure that children do not approach the train tracks.
"Parents please watch your children very carefully – even during the holiday season. Do not approach the train's path, and do not play near it. The train tracks are not a playground."
5. IRAN DISMISSES NETANYAHU'S REMARKS AT UN
by Elad Benari
Iran on Thursday night dismissed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's remarks in his speech at the UN General Assembly.
In the speech, Netanyahu revealed for the first time that Iran has a secret facility in Tehran which is used to store massive amounts of equipment and materiel from Iran's secret nuclear weapons program.
Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said, according to Reuters, "The world will only laugh loudly at this type of false, meaningless and unnecessary speech."
Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, similarly dismissed Netanyahu's speech as "an arts and crafts show".
"No arts and craft show will ever obfuscate that Israel is only regime in our region with a 'secret* and *undeclared* nuclear weapons program - including an *actual atomic arsenal*," he tweeted.
"Time for Israel to fess up and open its illegal nuclear weapons program to international inspectors," added Zarif.

Thursday's revelation by Netanyahu comes several months after he exposed the site of Iran's secret atomic archive.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday revealed that Iran has a secret nuclear warehouse.
Speaking at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, Netanyahu said, "When I spoke here three years ago, Israel stood alone among the nations. Of the nearly 200 countries that sit in this hall, only Israel openly opposed the nuclear deal with Iran."
"We oppose it because the deal was based on a fundamental lie, that Iran is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons.
"Israel exposed that lie earlier this year. Last February, Israel conducted a daring raid on Iran's secret atomic archive. We obtained over 100,000 documents and videos that had been stashed in vaults in an innocent-looking building in the heart of Tehran."
"In May we exposed the site of Iran's secret atomic archive. Today I'm revealing the site of a second facility, Iran's secret atomic warehouse."
The warehouse, he said, is used for "storing massive amounts of equipment and material from Iran's secret nuclear weapons program."
"Since we raided the atomic archive, they've been busy cleaning out the atomic warehouse," Netanyahu said, noting that Iranian officials removed 15kg (33 lbs) of radioactive material from the warehouse last month, and spread it around Tehran in order to get rid of the evidence.
The site contained as much as 300 tons of nuclear-related equipment and material, he added.
Questioning Iran's motives in keeping its nuclear archive and atomic warehouse secret, Netanyahu emphasized that Iran "hasn't abandoned its goal to develop nuclear weapons."
"In fact, it planned to use both of these sites in a few years, when the time would be right to break out the atom bomb.
"Rest assured that won't happen. It won't happen, because what Iran hides, Israel will find." He also noted that like Iran's atomic archive, the second site is an "innocent-looking compound."
Though Israel shared its intelligence with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the organization has not taken any steps to deal with the issue, Netanyahu said.
He also called on IAEA head Yukiya Amano to "do the right thing."
"Go inspect this atomic warehouse, immediately, before the Iranians finish clearing it out," he urged. Turning to the audience, Netanyahu added, "Do you when we were promised that inspections could take place anytime, anywhere? Remember that? Anytime, anywhere? Well, how about inspections right here, right now?"
Turning back to Amano, he demanded that the "other sites we told you about" also be inspected.
"Once and for all, tell the world the truth about Iran."
7. 'PALESTINIAN STATE - A DISASTER FOR ISRAEL'
by Gary Willig
Education Minister Naftali Bennett praised US President Donald Trump's continued support for Israel, but reiterated his continued opposition to the Two State Solution after Trump stated that he "likes the two-state solution."
"The President of the US is a true friend of Israel," Bennett wrote on Twitter. "However, it is must be emphasized that as long as the Jewish Home Party is part of Israel's Government, there will not be a Palestinian state which would be a disaster for Israel."
Bennett's statement follows the meeting between president Trump and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. During their meeting, Trump expressed his support for "everything Israel is doing as far as their defense is concerned."
"[The Israelis] are aggressive, and they have no choice but to be aggressive. It's a very difficult part of the world. So I just want to let Benjamin and all of the people know that we are with you, we are with Israel 100%."
During a press conference following the meeting, Trump also expressed his support for the Two State Solution.
"I like two-state solution," Trump said. "That's what I think works best."
8. NETANYAHU'S SPEECH AT THE UN
by Arutz Sheva Staff
"Distinguished Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen,
When I spoke here, three years ago, Israel stood alone among the nations. Of the nearly 200 countries that sit in this hall, only Israel openly opposed the nuclear deal with Iran. We oppose it because it threatens our future, even our very survival. We oppose it because the deal paved Iran's path to a nuclear arsenal. And by lifting the sanctions, it's fueled Iran's campaign of carnage and conquest throughout the Middle East.
We oppose it, we oppose it because the deal was based on a fundamental lie—that Iran is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons.
Now, Israel exposed that lie earlier this year. Last February, Israeli conducted a daring raid on Iran's secret atomic archive. We obtained over 100,000 documents and videos that had been stashed in vaults in an innocent looking building in the heart of Tehran.
In May, I presented a short summary of what we obtained to the international media. I provided hard evidence of Iran's plans to build nuclear weapons and its plans to deceive the international community. Israel shared this information and even more damning evidence that we found with members of the P5+1, and with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Months have passed. The IAEA has still not taken any action. It has not posed a single question to Iran. It has not demanded to inspect a single new site discovered in that secret archive.
So, given this inaction, I decided to reveal today something else that we have shared with the IAEA and with a few intelligence agencies.
What I'm about to say has not been shared publically before.
Today, I am disclosing for the first time that Iran has another secret facility in Tehran—a secret atomic warehouse for storing massive amounts of equipment and materiel from Iran's secret nuclear weapons program.
In May, we exposed the site of Iran's secret atomic archive, right here, in the Shor-abad District of Tehran. Today I'm revealing the site of a second facility— Iran's secret atomic warehouse. It's right here, in the Turquz-abad District of Tehran, just there miles away.
Let me show you exactly what the secret atomic warehouse looks like.
Here it is. You see, like the atomic archive, it's another innocent looking compound. Now for those of you at home using Google Earth, this no-longer-secret atomic warehouse is on Maher Alley, Maher Street. You have the coordinates, you can try to get there. And for those of you who try to get there, it's 100 meters from the Kalishoi, the rug cleaning operation. By the way, I hear they do a fantastic job cleaning rugs there. But by now they may be radioactive rugs.
This is the second secret site.
Now, countries with satellite capabilities may notice some increased activity on Maher Alley in the days and weeks ahead. The people they'll see scurrying back and forth are Iranian officials desperately trying to finish the job of cleaning up that site. Because, you see, since we raided the atomic archive, they've been busy cleaning out the atomic warehouse.
Just last month, they removed 15 kilograms of radioactive material. You know what they did with it? They had 15 kilograms of radioactive material, they had to get it out of the site, so they took it out and they spread it around Tehran in an effort to hide the evidence. The endangered residents of Tehran may want to know that they can get a Geiger counter on Amazon for only $29.99. As of today that's just 4 million Iranian rials, but we'll get to that later. I'll talk about the Iranian economy in a minute. They took this radioactive material and spread it around Tehran.
Now, the Iranian officials cleaning out that site still have a lot of work to do because they've had at least, at least 15 ship containers, they're gigantic, 15 ship containers full of nuclear related equipment and material stored there. Now, since each of those containers can hold 20 tons of material, this means that this site contains as much as 300 tons, 300 tons of nuclear related equipment and material.
Right here.
So, Distinguished Delegates,
You have to ask yourself a question. Why did Iran keep a secret atomic archive and a secret atomic warehouse? Because, after all, when South Africa and Libya, when they gave up their nuclear programs, the first thing they did was to destroy both the archives and the material and equipment.
And the answer to the question is simple. The reason Iran didn't destroy its atomic archive and its atomic warehouse is because it hasn't abandoned its goal to develop nuclear weapons. In fact, it planned to use both of these sites in a few years when the time would be right to break out to the atom bomb.
But, Ladies and Gentlemen, rest assured, that won't happen. It won't happen because what Iran hides, Israel will find.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have a message to the head of the IAEA, Mr. Yukiya Amano.
I believe he's a good man. I believe he wants to do the right thing.
Well, Mr. Amano, do the right thing. Go inspect this atomic warehouse, immediately, before the Iranians finish clearing it out.
Distinguished Delegates,
Do you remember when we were promised that inspections could take place anytime, anywhere? Remember that? Anytime, anywhere?
Well, how about inspections right here, right now.
And Mr. Amano, while you're at it, inspect the other secret sites we told you about. Once and for all, tell the world the truth about Iran.
Now, I also have a message today for the Tyrants of Tehran:
Israel knows what you're doing, and Israel knows where you're doing it. Israel will never let a regime that calls for our destruction to develop nuclear weapons. Not now, not in ten years, not ever.
And Israel will do whatever it must do to defend itself against Iran's aggression. We will continue to act against you in Syria. We will act against you in Lebanon. We will act against you in Iraq. We will act against you whenever and wherever we must act to defend our state and defend our people.
Distinguished Delegates,
Three years ago, a few weeks after the nuclear deal was completed, I asked this question from this very podium: Does anyone seriously believe that flooding Iran's radical theocracy with weapons and cash will curb its appetite for aggression? But many of the deal's supporters believed just that. They believed that Iran's regime would become more moderate, more peaceful. They believed that Iran would use the billions of dollars it received in sanctions relief to improve the lives of its people—to solve the water problem, to solve the trucking problem, to solve the electricity problem, hospitals, schools… That's what they believed, and perhaps many of you also believed that.
Well, this didn't happen.
Instead, Iran used the money to fuel its vast war machine.
Just this past year, Iran has attacked Kurds in Iraq, slaughtered Sunnis in Syria, armed Hezbollah in Lebanon, financed Hamas in Gaza, fired missiles into Saudi Arabia, and threatened freedom of navigation in the Straits of Hormouz and the Strait of Bab al Mandeb.
Some peace. Some moderation.
And if you think, if you think that Iran's aggression has been confined to the Middle East, think again. Last month, two Iranian agents were arrested for plotting terror attacks right here in the United States. And several weeks ago, Iranian agents were arrested for plotting terror attacks in the heart of Europe.
Yet while the United States is confronting Iran with new sanctions, Europe and others are appeasing Iran by trying to help it bypass those sanctions.
Now I just used a word, a tough word, a very strong word—appeasement, and I use it reluctantly, but unfortunately, that's exactly what we are seeing again in Europe.
Think about this: The same week Iran was caught red-handed trying to murder European citizens, European leaders were rolling out the red carpet for President Rouhani, promising to give Iran even more money.
I'm an historian's son, I have to ask. I ask not merely as an historian's son, I ask it as a Jew, as a citizen of the world, as someone who's lived through the 20th century: Have these European leaders learned nothing from history? Will they ever wake up?
Well, we in Israel, we don't need a wakeup call, because Iran threatens us every day. Because despite the best of hope, and there were many hopes around the nuclear deal, this deal did not push war further away. It brought war ever closer to our borders.
In Syria, Iran is trying to establish permanent military bases against us and has already launched missiles and drones into our territory. In Gaza, Iran is arming terror groups to launch rocket attacks into our cities and terror attacks against our civilians. In Lebanon, in Lebanon Iran is directing Hezbollah to build secret sites to convert inaccurate projectiles into precision guided missiles, missiles that can target deep inside Israel within an accuracy of ten meters.
Hezbollah, listen to this, Hezbollah is deliberately using the innocent people of Beirut as human shields. They have placed three of these missile conversion sites alongside Beirut's international airport.
Here's a picture that's worth a thousand missiles.
Here's Beirut's international airport.
Here's the first missile site. It's in the Ouzai neighborhood on the water's edge, a few blocks away from the runway.
Here's the second site. It's underneath a soccer stadium, that's the soccer stadium, two blocks way.
And here's the third site. It's adjacent to the airport itself, right next to it.
So I also have a message for Hezbollah today: Israel knows, Israel also knows what you're doing. Israel knows where you're doing it. And Israel will not let you get away with it.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Just as the nuclear deal supporters were wrong about what would happen when sanctions would be removed, they were wrong, dead wrong, about what would happen when sanctions would be restored.
They argued that US sanctions alone would have little impact, little economic impact on Iran. That's what they said. Really?
Well, let's see what happened to Iran's economy now that President Trump has forced companies to choose between doing business with Iran and doing business with the United States, whose GDP is 50 times the size of Iran's GDP.
A year ago, Iran's economy was booming. Now it's collapsing. Iran's currency is plummeting. Inflation and unemployment are soaring. British airlines, German banks, French oil companies, Japanese oil importers and many others are scrambling to get out.
If that's little economic impact, imagine what will happen with the next batch of US sanctions imposed in November.
The deal's supporters were also wrong when they argued, you have to believe that they argue this. We're going to have many arguments with them. They also argued that restoring sanctions would rally the Iranian people around the regime.
Well, they're definitely rallying, but not around the regime. They're rallying against the regime.
They're not chanting Death to America. They're chanting Death to the Dictator.
They're not chanting Export the Islamic Revolution. They're chanting Leave Syria! Leave Lebanon! Leave Gaza! Take care of us in Iran!
I listen to these protests. I talk to the Iranian people. I issue these videos and I get so many responses from Iranians. At first I thought these are Iranian exiles in the safety of London or Paris or Los Angeles. No. Iranians, from Iran embracing Israel, criticizing the regime. That's an understatement. With their names. And I ask my intelligence people, what's going on. And shortly after the protests broke out, not because of what I said, but it was an indicator of something extraordinary that was taking place there. Because in these protests, the Iranian people are showing unbelievable courage.
From the urban centers to the outlying villages—and it's embracing now the whole of Iran—from the striking bazaar merchants to the young women uncovering their hair,
the people of Iran are bravely standing up to a regime that has brutally repressed them for four decades and that has squandered their money, still squanders their money in bloody wars across the Middle East.
So here's what I say to Europe's leaders and to others: Instead of coddling Iran's dictators, join the US, and Israel, and most of the Arab world in supporting new sanctions against a regime that endangers all of us and all of the world.
Israel is deeply grateful to President Trump for his bold decision to withdraw from the disastrous nuclear deal with Iran. Many, many of our Arab neighbors are also grateful. And everyone who cares about the peace and security of the world should also be grateful.
But, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an important confession to make.
This may surprise you, but I have to admit that the Iran deal has had one positive consequence, an unintended one, but a positive consequence. By empowering Iran, it brought Israel and many Arab states closer together than ever before, closer together than ever before, in an intimacy and friendship that I've not seen in my lifetime and would have been unimaginable a few years ago.
And you know, when you form friendships around a threat, around a challenge, you quickly see opportunities, not only for security, but how to bring a better life for our people which Israel can help and wants to help do.
Israel deeply values these new friendships, and I hope the day will soon arrive when Israel will be able to expand peace, a formal peace, beyond Egypt and Jordan to other Arab neighbors, including the Palestinians. I look forward to working with President Trump and his peace team to achieve that goal.
I also want to use this opportunity, we're here at the UN—it's a place I know because I served here as ambassador many years ago for many years, so I know something about the UN. So I want to use this opportunity to express Israel's appreciation to President Trump and Ambassador Haley for the unwavering support they have provided Israel at the United Nations. They have unequivocally backed Israel's right to defend itself. They rightly pulled out of a history-denying UNESCO and a morally bankrupt UN Human Rights Council. They have more resolutions about Israel than the rest of the world combined, I think. And tenfold compared to, I don't know, Iran, Syria, you name it. Not even tenfold, because you can't multiply zero by any number.
They stopped funding, President Trump and Ambassador Haley, they stopped funding an unreformed UNRWA, an organization that instead of solving the Palestinian refugee problem, perpetuates it.
Day after day, the Trump administration has stood up to what has long been a specialty here at the UN—slandering Israel. Even though the shameful resolution comparing Zionism to racism was repealed 25 years ago, I'm sorry to say that its foul stench still clings to these halls.
Israel airlifted Ethiopian Jews to freedom and a new life in Israel, in the Jewish state. Yet here at the UN, here at the UN, Israel is absurdly accused of racism.
Israel's Arab citizens vote in our elections, serve in our parliament, preside over our courts, and have exactly the same individual rights as all other Israeli citizens. Yet here at the UN, Israel is shamefully accused of apartheid.
Today, there are at least five times as many Palestinians as there were in 1948, the year of Israel's founding. Yet here at the UN, Israel is outrageously accused of ethnic cleansing.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you know what this is?
It's the same old antisemitism with a brand new face. That's all it is.
Once, it was the Jewish people that were slandered and held to a different standard.
Today, it's the Jewish state that is slandered and held to a different standard.
Here's an example: Take the outlandish attacks that have been leveled against Israel after our Knesset, our parliament, recently adopted a law declaring Israel the nation state of the Jewish people.
Mind you, Israel is a free country. You can oppose a law, and people did. You can call for different wording in this or that clause, or you can call to add or subtract a clause. You can do that.
But when Israel is called racist, Israel is called racist for making Hebrew its official language and the Star of David its national flag, when Israel is labeled an apartheid state for declaring itself the nation state of the Jewish people, this is downright preposterous. And you know why?
Because represented in this hall today are more than 100 countries that have only one official language, even though many other languages are commonly spoken within those countries. There are more than 50 countries here that have crosses or crescents on their flags, even though they have many non-Muslims and non-Christians, many of them, living in their midst. And there are dozens of countries that define themselves as nation states of a particular people, even though there are many ethnic and national minorities within their borders.
None of those countries are denigrated or libeled for celebrating their unique national identity. Only Israel is denigrated. Only Israel is libeled.
What is unique about the Jewish people is not that we have a nation state. What is unique is that many still oppose us having a nation state.
Moments ago, President Abbas outrageously said that Israel's Nation State Law proves that Israel is a racist, apartheid state.
President Abbas, you should know better. You wrote a dissertation denying the Holocaust. Your Palestinian Authority imposes death sentences on Palestinians for selling land to Jews. Did you hear that? If a Jew buys an apartment, a piece of land anywhere in the Palestinian territories, the Palestinian who sold him that land is executed. That's what the law says.
President Abbas, you proudly pay Palestinian terrorists who murder Jews. In fact, the more they slay, the more you pay. That's in their law too. And you condemn Israel's morality? You call Israel racist?
This is not the way to peace. This is not the way to achieve the peace we all want and need and to which Israel remain committed. This body should not be applauding the head of a regime that pays terrorists. The UN should condemn such a despicable policy.
And the UN, the UN which brokered a ceasefire in 2014, should demand that Hamas release our fallen soldiers Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin, who was kidnapped when Hamas violated that very ceasefire.
Hamas should also release the two Israeli citizens it holds captive, Abera Mengistu and Hisham al Sayed.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Every time I stand here, I feel as I do today. I am privileged to stand here as the Prime Minister of the Jewish and democratic state of Israel.
Some believe that Israel cannot be both Jewish and democratic. This is false. Israel is both, and Israel will always remain both.
Ever since Abraham and Sarah made their journey to the promised land nearly 4,000 years ago, the Land of Israel has been our homeland. It's the place where Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob, Leah and Rachel carried on their eternal covenant with God.
It is where Joshua made us a sovereign nation, where David ruled and Isaiah preached, where the Maccabees fought and where Masada fell. It is the place from which we were exiled and to which we returned, rebuilding our ancient and eternal capital Jerusalem.
The nation state of Israel is the only place where the Jewish people proudly exercise our collective right of self-determination. That right was recognized nearly a century ago by the League of Nations and over 70 years ago by the United Nations, when it voted to support the establishment of a Jewish state. That's what it said, that resolution—a Jewish state.
At the same time, Israel is a vibrant democracy, where all its citizens—Jews and non-Jews alike—enjoy equal individual rights, and these rights are guaranteed by law.
In Israel, whether you are a Jew or an Arab, a Christian or a Muslim, a Druze or a Beduin, or anything else, your individual rights are exactly the same, and they will always remain the same.
In the Middle East, that's not obvious, now that's an understatement, In the Middle East, where women are often treated as property, minorities are persecuted, gays are hanged, Israel stands out as a shining example of freedom and progress.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I could not be more proud to represent my country Israel.
I am proud that we've made Israel a global technological power of breathtaking creativity, in information technology, in precision agriculture, you know what that is? We target the fertilizer and the water down to the individual plant, not field, not part of a field, down to the plant. I'm proud of these geniuses, that bring these unbelievable developments, in water management, in cyber security, in autonomous vehicles, in digital health, in medical devices and in so many other fields that are improving the lives of billions of people around the world.
I am proud of Israel's brilliant scholars, innovative entrepreneurs and talented artists. I am proud of Israel's devoted teachers, compassionate doctors, and our search-and-rescue teams who save lives from Haiti to Mexico, from Nepal to the Philippines. I am proud, I am so proud of Israel's courageous soldiers, the men and women who bravely defend our homeland while upholding the highest values.
And most of all, Ladies and Gentlemen, Most of all I am proud of the people of Israel, who draw extraordinary strength from the deep wellsprings of our heritage, who possess an unbreakable spirit and who are determined as ever to build a secure and magnificent future for the one and only Jewish state.
Thank you".

Thank you".

In a special Sukkot interview to be aired tonight on Arutz Sheva, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman related to his government's apparent turnaround on Palestinian state policy.
Speaking from his Jerusalem sukkah, Friedman says President Trump "wants an agreement. I think he's much less concerned about the structure than he is about the agreement."
"He spoke about it several times yesterday, and what he said is really consistent with what he's been saying all along which is: Whatever the parties can agree to, he will support. Reality is, I think, he's seen very little support on either side for a one-state solution, so, I think his observations are correct but ultimately this is about an agreement; it's not about the form of the agreement it's about what the agreement would be."
Asked bluntly whether Judea and Samaria's Jews now have reason to worry for their future, Friedman was non-committal: "I don't want to get into the details of a peace proposal."
Friedman did, however, share his personal conviction in opposition to ethnic cleansing: "I think we're still months away as the President has indicated, but I'll tell you, I've been very clear on this personally, that I don't think it's reasonable to expect any agreement to depend upon forcing people to leave their homes. That applies to Arabs as well as Jews. I think the idea of forced population transfer is not a pathway to peace," Friedman said.
Watch the full interview tonight at 20:00 on Arutz Sheva.
2. 'RABBI' MICHELLE OBAMA
by JTA and Arutz Sheva Staff
Former first lady Michelle Obama played the part of "rabbi" at a wedding ceremony between two Jews in the Chicago area over the weekend.
Obama's involvement in the September 22 wedding of Stephanie Moelis Rivkin and Joel Sircus on the banks of Lake Michigan was first reported by TMZ on Sunday. Rivkin is the daughter of Chicago's deputy mayor, Robert Rivkin, who serves under Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Barack Obama's former chief of staff. Her mother, Cindy Moelis, was appointed by President Obama as Director of the President's Commission on White House Fellowships.
The New York Times announcement of the wedding lists the couple's friend Robert Dresser as the ceremony officiant, the Forward reported. However, the bride's cousin Tina Newman posted a video of the ceremony on Instagram showing Obama officiating.
Reports did not indicate whether the wedding was "Reform" or "Conservative."
3. NETANYAHU: I GOT EVERYTHING I ASKED FOR FROM TRUMP
by Nitzan Keidar
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is very pleased with his meeting Wednesday with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
In a press briefing after the meeting, Netanyahu said, "I heard the United States' unreserved support for Israel, its right to self-defense in general, and also regarding the incident of the downing of the Russian plane in Syria. I made specific requests and got everything I asked for. The president gave explicit instructions regarding Israel's security."
Referring to Trump's support for the establishment of a Palestinian state, Netanyahu said: "We are concerned with essence. The question is, what is a state? What state will it be? Will it be Costa Rica or Iran? As far as I am concerned, as long as I am prime minister, the security control of Israel will be full to the west of the Jordan River."
[youtube:2047625]
He added that he heard during his meeting with Trump from his adviser Jared Kushner that everyone interprets the concept of a "Palestinian state" differently.
He was asked why Israel does not initiate an attempt to renew political negotiations. "It is absurd to think that if the Americans are preparing a plan, we will bypass it. Nevertheless, this does not indicate that we have no contacts with the Palestinians."
Netanyahu was asked to address the humanitarian situation in Gaza. "Two sinkholes have been created: On the one hand, the economic situation in Gaza and in the Palestinian Authority is very difficult because the Americans have stopped their financial aid to UNRWA and other projects. On the other hand, the Palestinian Authority does not transfer the funds and salaries to Gaza. "
"I am not indifferent to the situation and our position is not that there is nothing to be done. We are talking about it both with Abbas and with the Egyptians," declared the prime minister.
A political source in Netanyahu's entourage also responded to reports that President Putin rejected the Prime Minister's request to meet with him following the incident of the downing of the Russian plane. "The issue was raised during the prime minister's conversation with the Russian president, and he did not reject any possibility, but rather left it open. At the moment the atmosphere in Russia is not suitable for such a meeting, but it can be assumed that a meeting with the Russian president will take place soon," he said.
4. PRAYERS CONTINUE AT EGALITARIAN KOTEL AREA DESPITE PROTESTS
by Tzvi Lev
Hundreds of Jews prayed and studied Torah on Thursday at the southern area of the Western Wall allotted for egalitarian prayer on Thursday, drawing angry responses from the Reform and Conservative movements.
Worshippers prayed in the traditional Jewish fashion, with a separation between men and women. Following the prayers, Torah classes were given throughout the day. Thursday was the second straight day that such events occurred, as a large prayer rally was held on Wednesday as well.
The prayers were angrily attacked by the Reform and Conservative movements, who contend that Robinson's Arch should be legally defined as an area reserved strictly for non-Orthodox services.
Writing on thee Facebook page of "Ezrat Yisrael - the egalitarian expansion of the Western Wall," they vehemently attacked the group of religious activists: "Call your bullying as much prayer as you like, but it will not change what really happens," they said.
"Your act is ugly, immoral and not Jewish...The Western Wall outline explicitly defined the custom of the place with the help of Israel as an egalitarian pluralist, without a barrier [between men and women]. However, upon its cancellation, this regulation cannot be enforced. Implementation of the Western Wall layout today! "
The ill-fated Western Wall plan, which would have altered the layout of the Western Wall Plaza and granted tacit recognition of the Reform Movement at the holy site.
The plan was suspended last year, before being officially canceled in January.
In 2000, in response to a series of court rulings, the government opened the southern prayer space, consisting of several temporary platforms near Robinson's Arch, to non-traditional prayer groups, including services led by the Reform and Conservative movements.
The Reform Movement, however, has demanded the southern prayer space be expanded and integrated into the larger Western Wall Plaza – in effect turning the southern prayer area into a third section of the existing Plaza, alongside the men's and women's sections.
In addition, representatives of the Reform and Conservative movements would be granted oversight of the expanded southern section of the Plaza – a move Orthodox opponents of the plan said was tantamount to recognition of the two movements, a violation of Israel's decades-old Status Quo on religion and state.
5. TOULOUSE IMAM PROBED FOR ANTI-SEMITIC SERMON
by JTA
Prosecutors in France opened an investigation for incitement against a senior Muslim cleric from Toulouse who recited anti-Semitic religious passages and predicted Israel's destruction.
On Tuesday, the Toulouse Prosecutor's Office opened a probe for alleged incitement to hate or violence against Mohamed Tatai, the imam of the newly inaugurated Grand Mosque of Toulouse and the leader of an interfaith dialogue group, the Sud Ouest daily reported.
In a sermon delivered on Dec. 15, 2017, Tatai recited a Muslim text, called a Hadith, stating that on Judgment Day, the Muslims will kill the Jews.
In June, the France chapter of the B'nai B'rith group condemned on Twitter the statements by Tatai, who told listeners that The Prophet Mohammed "told us about the final and decisive battle: 'Judgement Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Jews will hide behind the stones and the trees, and the stones and the trees will say: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him – except for the Gharqad tree, which is one of the trees of the Jews.'"
He added that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said he was "afraid that Israel would not live longer than 76 years – as is written in the prophecies." He then said that an Israeli journalist, whom he did not name, said the 2016 funeral of Israeli President Shimon Peres was "the funeral of Israel.'"
JTA was not able to verify or locate either of the quotes referenced by Tatai.
Toulouse Prosecutor Dominique Alzeari wrote in a document connected to the investigation that "after verifying the facts connected to the dissemination of the sermon," including with a certified translation of it from Arabic, Alzeari's office opened an investigation for alleged "public verbal provocation to hatred or violence because of [the victim's] origins, ethnicity, nationality, race or religion."
The video of the Arabic-language sermon was posted in December on the YouTube channel of the Grand Mosque of Toulouse. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) translated the video and posted it on its website.
Tatai is the president of the Circle for Civil Dialogue, a nonprofit claiming its mission is to "facilitate dialogue between citizens on a social-cultural level, educationally and through sports." On Saturday he led the inauguration ceremony of the city's new and largest mosque, a $7.5 million building, where he serves as the most prominent imam.
During the inauguration ceremony, which included the release of white doves, Tatai promised the mosque will serve "to instill the values of peace" and as a "bulwark against extremism."
In a July interview for the La Dépêche du Midi daily, Tatai said the video "takes what I said out of context." He told the daily that during the sermon, he also said that "we must do everything not to arrive" at a Muslim-Jewish war, but the assertion was not recorded in the video.
In 2012, a jihadist killed four Jews — a rabbi and three children — at a Jewish school in Toulouse.
6. JEWISH DEMOCRATIC GROUP SUES SHELDON ADELSON FOR 'LEGAL SADISM'
by JTA, Arutz Sheva Staff
A group that once was the umbrella for Jewish Democrats claims it was brought down by a libel lawsuit filed against it by Sheldon Adelson and is countersuing now that Adelson has lost.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in a federal court in New York by the National Jewish Democratic Council and its former chairman, Marc Stanley, charges the casino magnate with "legal sadism" for pursuing his lawsuit first launched in 2012, despite multiple losses in lower courts, until a federal appeals court threw it out last November.
"It is now beyond cavil that Sheldon Adelson deliberately abused the courts to try — in his words — to bankrupt the National Jewish Democratic Council for having the temerity to criticize him," the lawsuit claimed.
Adelson has already paid legal costs to the defendants after losing his lawsuit.
However, the group seeks damages under a statute in Nevada — where Adelson originally filed his lawsuit — that penalizes frivolous lawsuits. The filing does not name an amount but seeks damages to be determined at trial and punitive damages.
The lawsuit claims Adelson essentially ruined NJDC, driving away donors who were wary about being named in a lawsuit. Its then-director, David Harris, left the organization and politics because of the action. "Today, the NJDC exists only to recover its debt from litigation and pay its bills," it says.
A new group, the Jewish Democratic Council of America, was established last year in its stead.
Adelson had sued the National Jewish Democratic Council in 2012 over an online petition alleging the major Republican donor allowed prostitution at his casino in Macau. The petition included a hyperlink to an Associated Press article carrying allegations against Adelson. Much of the legal argument was over whether attaching a hyperlink is a clear enough signal that the defendants were citing available information.
The hyperlink was embedded in an online petition urging Republicans not to take money from Adelson, who in addition to being a major giver to the Republican Party also funds Jewish, pro-Israel and medical philanthropies.
He also finances Israel's most popular newspaper, Israel Hayom.
A spokesman for Adelson did not respond to a JTA request for comment.

8. PROGRAM RECRUITS ISRAELI GIRLS FOR CYBER WARFARE
by JTA
Tali Ben Aroya knows what it's like to feel intimidated.
As the founder of an Israeli social network startup, she recalls more than once being the only female in a room full of male business executives.
"I remember myself asking where all the other women were," she said. "I realized then that if I wanted to change things, it's not enough to be an entrepreneur. I also have to help cultivate other women to be entrepreneurs."
Even now, as she pursues a master's degree in computer science at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba, Ben Aroya, 33, is one of only three women in her class of 30.
"The problem is that tech is not being marketed in a way that gets girls interested," Ben Aroya said. "Girls want to do something that contributes to society, like finding a cure for cancer, but they don't realize that technology is the best way to do that. In our society, boys tend to be more competitive. We don't push girls to achieve higher goals."
Ben Aroya is trying to change that.
She is the chief of content development at CyberGirlz, a program that aims to cultivate interest and skills in technology among high school girls with an aptitude for it. About 2,000 girls already participate in the CyberGirlz Club and the CyberGirlz Community, which hosts hack-a-thons, training sessions, meetups and events where the girls get advice and guidance from other female mentors — many of whom have served in elite technology units of the Israeli military.
At the moment, demand for high-tech professionals in Israel outstrips supply by about 15,000 individuals, according to Start-Up Nation Central, a Tel Aviv-based nonprofit that monitors the tech ecosystem. The need for those with specific technical skills like coding, algorithms, encryption and big data is especially pressing.
Given the centrality of the tech sector to Israel's GDP, ensuring that there is a pipeline of capable people available to work in tech has become a national priority. More often than not, that pipeline is the Israeli military – especially the famed intelligence Unit 8200 — where tech-oriented young people get the crucial training and experience they need to become successful tech innovators.
Yet female soldiers comprised just 27 percent of all programmers in the Israel Defense Forces in 2015, the last year for which statistics were available. And only 12 percent of conscripts in the IDF's highly competitive cyber units were women — about the same percentage as women in the high-tech industry in general.
CyberGirlz is ramping up its effort to change that with the September launch of an afterschool club in the central Israeli city of Modiin for a select group of about 60 high school sophomores and juniors. The idea is to prep them for high-skilled technology units of the IDF.
The CyberGirlz Club is jointly financed by Israel's Defense Ministry, the Rashi Foundation and Start-Up Nation Central, which is backed by the hedge fund titan Paul Singer.
"Our aim is to bring the girls to this process already skilled, with the knowledge needed to pass the exams for Unit 8200 and serve in the military as programmers," said Maty Zwaig, Start-Up Nation Central's director of human capital programs. Zwaig herself was a lieutenant colonel in a computer unit within the IDF Intelligence Corps.
The girls will meet once a week for four hours over a two-year period. They'll learn network science, coding and digital frameworks, and be trained in using complex algorithms to track Israel's potential enemies.
Unlike conventional high school computer classes, this curriculum is focused on teaching hacker skills. The girls will practice penetration testing, which simulates cyberattacks to find potential vulnerabilities, do network analysis and learn the programming language Python.

On Wednesday morning, the traditional Priestly Blessing will take place in Western Wall Plaza in Jerusalem.
Thousands of Jews and hundreds of kohanim (from the priestly tribe) from around Israel and around the world are already at the Wall.
US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman also attended the event.
Speaking to Arutz Sheva, Friedman said, "It is a great privilege to be a kohen and to have the opportunity to bless the Nation of Israel from the Kotel (Western Wall - ed.). This is my third time as Ambassador at Birkat Kohanim (the Priestly Blessing - ed.) and each time gets more exciting and meaningful."
The commandment to bless the Jewish people and the words of the blessing are found in the Bible (Numbers 6: 22-27). Two tiny silver amulets containing scrolls on which parts of the blessing were written were found in a 7th century B.C.E. burial site in Jerusalem in 1979.

2. FIRST TIME: CHINA TO ISRAEL IN 8 HOURS
by Mordechai Sones
Tourism Minister Yariv Levin (Likud) received the first flight of China's Sichuan Airlines, which landed at Ben-Gurion Airport for the first time in Israel.
The flight from Changdao is the shortest flight from China to Israel - 8 hours and 20 minutes long - and was inaugurated this morning in continuation of cooperation with the Tourism Ministry as part of the aviation grants to encourage incoming tourism to Israel.
Tourism Minister Levin congratulated Sichuan Airlines on its decision to start operating in Israel and to open a direct line. "Sichuan Airlines is the second airline from China to operate in Israel as part of its cooperation with the Tourism Ministry, and the new line, the fourth, joins other lines operating from China."
Levin says, "Cooperation with Sichuan Airlines was created following my visit to China last year, when I visited Changdo. I met with the company's management and offered them the ministry grant to open the line.
"I'm convinced the line will lead to further growth in incoming tourism to Israel and will join our extraordinary marketing effort, which already led to breaking all-time highs in incoming tourism to Israel," emphasized the Minister.

3. DUNKIN' DONUTS DROPS THE DONUT
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Dunkin' Donuts will drop the "donuts" from its name as of January, as part of a rebranding effort.
Donuts will still be served at Dunkin' locations.
The chain carried out a test run with a new branch opened last year in Pasadena, CA, and another branch near Boston Common.
According to reports, the company wants customers to think of it as a coffee shop instead of just a donut shop.
The chain will also narrow its menu, focusing more on beverages - which, according to CNBC, represent 60% of sales - and less on food.
The company stressed that its logo, pink and orange with a rounded font, will remain the same, other than the removal of the word "Donuts."
4. IDF CENTRAL COMMANDER VISITS SUKKAH IN BEIT ARYEH
by Mordechai Sones
IDF Central Commander Maj. Gen. Nadav Padan visited Beit Aryeh Council head Avi Naim this morning and was hosted in his sukkah.
During the visit, the general heard from the council head a community survey and the history of the area, and blessed on the four species.
Beit Aryeh Council head Avi Naim said after the visit that "sitting in the sukkah is an opportunity for the Jewish People to reflect on our transience as human beings and on the importance of our mission and strengthening Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel.
"We cherish, appreciate, and love the soldiers and commanders of the IDF and heartfelt thanks to Major General Nadav Padan for his dedication to the people of Israel," concluded Naim.
5. 'IRANIAN LEADERS SOW CHAOS, DEATH AND DESTRUCTION'
by Arutz Sheva Staff

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday addressed the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Trump said that America was "stronger, safer and richer" than it was when he first came into office, emphasizing that "America is governed by Americans. We reject the ideology of globalism, and we embrace the doctrine of patriotism."
"America will always choose independence and cooperation over global governance, control and domination," he said.
"I honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return."
He praised "great strides" and "historic change" being made in the Middle East as a result of new US policy.
"Following my trip to Saudi Arabia last year, the Gulf countries opened a new center to target terrorist financing. They are enforcing new sanctions, working with us to identify and track terrorist networks, and taking more responsibility for fighting terrorism and extremism in their own region.
"The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have pledged billions of dollars to aid the people of Syria and Yemen. And they are pursuing multiple avenues to ending Yemen's horrible, horrific civil war.
"Ultimately, it is up to the nations of the region to decide what kind of future they want for themselves and their children.
"For that reason, the United States is working with the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jordan, and Egypt to establish a regional strategic alliance so that Middle Eastern nations can advance prosperity, stability, and security across their home region."
Trump slammed the Iranian regime, noting that its leaders "sow chaos, death, and destruction" and "do not respect the sovereign rights of nations," reinforcing his decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions.
"We cannot allow the world's leading sponsor of terrorism to possess the planet's most dangerous weapons. We cannot allow a regime that chants 'Death to America,' and that threatens Israel with annihilation, to possess the means to deliver a nuclear warhead to any city on Earth. Just can't do it," he said.
"We ask all nations to isolate Iran's regime as long as its aggression continues. And we ask all nations to support Iran's people as they struggle to reclaim their religious and righteous destiny."
He also addressed his decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and subsequently to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
"The United States is committed to a future of peace and stability in the region, including peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians," he said, emphasizing that this aim was "advanced, not harmed, by acknowledging the obvious facts."
"America's policy of principled realism means we will not be held hostage to old dogmas, discredited ideologies, and so-called experts who have been proven wrong over the years, time and time again," Trump said.
6. TAMIMI: OUR GOAL IS TO REMOVE ISRAEL
by Dalit Halevy
Ahed Tamimi, the PA teenager from the village of Nabi Saleh who served an eight-month prison sentence for attacking IDF soldiers, visited France in order to increase public support for the "Palestinian cause" and opposition to Israel.
In a video in which she summarizes her impressions of the visit, Tamimi says, "When I arrived in France I saw how much people loved us and supported us and how they were interested in the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Palestine. That made me very happy. "
"We want the next generation to be liberated like everyone else in the world. Palestine is the land of peace that has never experienced peace. It was important to meet with official figures so they would exert pressure on Israel." she adds.
Speaking during her visit in France, Tamimi presented the true goal of the "Palestinian cause."
"Our goal is not only to remove the settlement in Nabi Saleh, our goal is to remove the occupation, all of it, the large settlement, which is Israel."

7. BOLTON WARNS IRAN: IF YOU CROSS US THERE WILL BE 'HELL TO PAY'
by Elad Benari
[youtube:2047586]
US National Security Adviser John Bolton on Tuesday issued a warning to Iran, telling the regime in a fiery speech in New York that there will be "hell to pay" if it continues on its current course.
"If you cross us, our allies, or our partners ... yes, there will indeed be hell to pay," said Bolton, who was quoted by Fox News, in a speech before the United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) annual summit.
"According to the mullahs in Tehran, we are 'the Great Satan,' lord of the underworld, master of the raging inferno," Bolton said. "So, I might imagine they would take me seriously when I assure them today: If you cross us, our allies, or our partners; if you harm our citizens; if you continue to lie, cheat and deceive, yes, there will indeed be hell to pay."
"The ayatollahs have a choice to make. We have laid out a path toward a bright and prosperous future for all of Iran, one that is worthy of the Iranian people, who have long suffered under the regime's tyrannical rule," added Bolton.
Iran, he continued, "brazenly supports the criminal Assad regime in Syria" and was "complicit in Assad's chemical weapons attacks on his own people." He also called Iran the world's "worst kidnapper of US citizens."
Bolton also dismissed the Obama-era nuclear deal with Iran, saying it was "the worst diplomatic debacle in American history."
US President Donald Trump withdrew from the Iran deal in May. Recently, the President signed an executive order officially reinstating US sanctions against Iran.
The deal contained numerous provisions -- including "weasel words," Bolton said Tuesday -- that White House officials found insufficient, such as limited inspection mechanisms to ensure Iran's compliance with the deal, as well as sunset provisions that would lift various restrictions on Iran's nuclear program in as little as 10 years.
The deal "did nothing to address the regime's destabilizing activities or its ballistic missile development and proliferation. Worst of all, the deal failed in its fundamental objective: permanently denying Iran all paths to a nuclear bomb," continued Bolton.
"The United States is not naïve," he stressed. "We will not be duped, cheated, or intimidated again. The days of impunity for Tehran and its enablers are over. The murderous regime and its supporters will face significant consequences if they do not change their behavior. Let my message today be clear: We are watching, and we will come after you."
Earlier on Tuesday, Trump addressed the UN General Assembly in New York City and slammed the Iranian regime, noting its leaders "sow chaos, death, and destruction" and "do not respect the sovereign rights of nations."

8. 'ISRAEL WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE ATTACKING'
by Nitsan Keidar
Syria's Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said Israel should "think twice" before attacking Iranian bases in Syria.
Speaking with China's Xinhua news agency, Mekdad said the next shipment of S-300 missiles sent from Russia to Syria will paralyze Israel's aerial defense abilities.
"Israel got used to this, that whenever it wants, aircraft attack Syrian territory," he said. "From now on, we'll see if their army will attack our territory again."
Mekdad also said that Syria isn't afraid of Israeli attacks.
"Israel can try to attack, and we will defend ourselves well and successfully, just like we have in the past," he added. "The Israeli aggression in Syrian territory is aimed at everyone who wants to reduce terror in our country."

2. US: IRAN TO BLAME FOR DOWNING OF RUSSIAN PLANE
by David Rosenberg
The US National Security Advisor said Tehran should be held responsible for last week's downing of a Russian military plane over Syria, and warned Monday that Russian plans to transfer advanced anti-aircraft missile systems to Syria represented a major escalation in an already tense region.
Speaking with reporters on Monday, President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor, John Bolton, rejected statements by the Russian Defense Ministry holding Israel responsible for the loss of an Ilyushin IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft over Syria last week.
"There shouldn't be any misunderstanding here," said Bolton Monday. "The party responsible for the attacks in Syria and Lebanon and really the party responsible for the shooting down of the Russian plane is Iran."
Last Tuesday, a Russian IL-20 was shot down over Syria, apparently by a Russian-made S-200 anti-aircraft missile fired by the Syrian air defense network following an Israeli airstrike on a Syrian military research facility.
Russian officials blamed Israel for the downing of the IL-20 and the loss of the 15-member crew, claiming that the Israeli jets had intentionally used the much larger Russian plane to mask their radar signatures.
The IDF denied Russia's accusations, claiming the Israel Air Force jets were already out of the combat zone and in Israeli airspace when the IL-20 was downed, and that the IL-20 had been far from the area of the airstrikes during the Israeli operation.
An IDF delegation was dispatched to Moscow last week to share information collected by Israel as part of its investigation into the incident.
On Monday, however, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that he did not accept the IDF's claims regarding the incident.
"The information provided by the Israeli military...runs counter to conclusions of the Russian defense ministry," the Kremlin said in a statement following Putin's call with Netanyahu.
Putin also discussed with Netanyahu Russian plans to transfer S-300 missile systems to Syria following the downing of the IL-20.
Netanyahu warned that the the transfer of the missiles to "irresponsible hands" was "dangerous".
"The Prime Minister said that the transfer of advanced weapons systems to irresponsible hands would make the region more dangerous, and that Israel would continue to defend its interests and security," the Prime Minister's Office said Monday evening.
Bolton also criticized the move, saying that the transfer constituted a "significant escalation".
"We think introducing the S-300s to the Syrian government would be a significant escalation by the Russians," Bolton said, "and something that we hope, if these press reports are accurate, they would reconsider."
The National Security Advisor also said that the US would retain its military assets in Syria until Iran withdraws its forces from Syrian territory.
"We're not going to leave as long as Iranian troops are outside Iranian borders, and that includes Iranian proxies and militias."
The US currently has some 2,500 troops deployed in Syria.
3. 'HE WANTED TO SANCTIFY GOD'S NAME WITH MUSIC'
by David Rosenberg
The 31-year-old victim of a deadly hit-and-run accident late Sunday night has been identified as Haim Tukachinsky, a haredi pianist.
Tukachinsky was killed at around midnight Sunday when a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Spanish journalist Julio De La Guardia struck Tukachinsky. De La Guardia was later found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, and was taken into police custody.
The accident occurred while Tukachinsky was walking back from evening prayers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. De La Guardia hit and killed Tukachinsky at Paris Square in the capital, then drove off. Police later identified the car involved and located and arrested De La Guardia, who confessed during questioning to both drunk driving and the hit-and-run accident. His blood alcohol level was shown to be more than three times the legal limit.
Spanish journalist Julio De La Guardia

Tukachinsky was a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he studied both piano playing and composition.
"I think that music is one of the greatest gifts that you can give a person," Tukachinsky said in a 2015 interview with Mahut Hahaim Radio.
"Music has the power to make a person happy, regardless of what situation he is living in."
Tukachinsky emphasized the role of both religion and music in his life.
"I'm a Jewish religious musician. I observe everything [in the religion]. I try very hard to keep all of it."
"A lot of people say that I must be conflicted, that I live between two different worlds. That's really not the case. Music brings worlds together."
In an interview with Behadrei Haredim on Tuesday, Tukachinsky's mother, Yael Tukachinsky said her son had been interested in music from a very young age, and ultimately left his yeshiva studies to pursue a career in music.
"He learned in yeshiva ketana [elementary school] in Kiryat Motzkin, but he didn't want to continue to yeshiva gedolah. He wanted to use music to sanctify God's name."
"He was a composer, accompanist, pianist and conductor. He learned to play every instrument, so that he could compose [music] and make it suitable for each [instrument] precisely."

4. SPANISH REPORTER DENIED HOUSE ARREST AFTER DEADLY J'LEM ACCIDENT
by David Rosenberg
A Spanish journalist who confessed to a fatal hit-and-run accident while driving drunk will not be released to house arrest at the Spanish consulate, a Jerusalem court ruled Tuesday morning.
Julio De La Guardia, a Spanish reporter, was arrested early Monday morning after a fatal accident Sunday night at around midnight in Jerusalem.
The victim, identified by Kikar Hashabbat as 31-year-old Haim Tukachinsky, an American tourist, was killed after a vehicle driven by De La Guardia slammed into Tukachinsky in Paris Square in Jerusalem late Sunday night.
Tukachinsky, who was visiting Israel for the holidays, was walking back from prayers at the Western Wall at the time of the accident.
De La Guardia fled the scene, but was later identified by police and arrested several hours after the accident. Police say De La Guardia was under the influence of alcohol at the time, and had a blood sugar level significantly higher than the legal limit.
After his arrest, De La Guardia confessed that he had been driving while drunk, and was responsible for the hit-and-run accident that killed Tukachinsky.
The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court initially ordered De La Guardia released to house arrest at the home of the Spanish consul Monday night.
But the Jerusalem District Court threw out the lower court's decision, accepting an appeal by police requesting that De La Guardia be kept in custody.
The court extended De La Guardia's arrest by two days, until Thursday.
5. ISRAELI POLICE MAKE STARTLING DISCOVERY DURING TRAFFIC STOP
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Police officers in southern Israel made a gruesome discovery early Tuesday morning during a traffic stop in the city of Beer Sheva.
At approximately 4:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, police officers in Beer Sheva spotted car driving through the center of town at a speed far in excess of the legal speed limit.
Minutes later, officers ordered the driver to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop.
While examining the vehicle, which was driven by a member of the Bedouin community in the Negev, police found a critically wounded 21-year-old woman.
The woman, who was being transported by her relatives to Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Relatives of the woman, who was identified as a member of the el-Jarjarwi clan from Shaqib al-Salam southwest of Beer Sheva, had not notified MDA or other emergency medical services of the shooting incident, and were instead attempting to transport the victim on their own to the hospital.
Police called MDA first responders to the scene to treat and evacuate the young woman, who was declared dead after arriving at Soroka Hospital.
"We came to a private vehicle which had been pulled over to the side of the road," said MDA paramedics Eli Norani and Amichai Cohen.
"A 21-year-old woman was lying unconscious on the back seats while she had no pulse and was not breathing. She was suffering from multiple penetrating wounds in her upper body. We provided medical treatment and resuscitation techniques, which were continued en route to the nearby Soroka Hospital."
Authorities have opened an investigation into the woman's death, a spokesperson said Tuesday morning.
"Police have opened an investigation into an incident in the south after a woman from the Bedouin community was brought to hospital and died of her wounds," the spokesperson said.
6. PUTIN TO NETANYAHU: WE DON'T BELIEVE IDF'S STORY
by David Rosenberg
The Russian government has refused to accept the validity of Israel's investigation into the downing of a Russian reconnaissance plane over Syria last week, doubling down on the Russian Defense Ministry's statement holding Israel responsible for the plane's destruction and the loss of all 15 crew members.
In a statement released Monday night, the Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday that he did not accept Israel's claims that Israel Air Force fighter jets operating in Syria did not use a Russian Ilyushin IL-20 spy plane as radar cover.
Putin spoke with Netanyahu over the phone Monday, days after the two spoke on the eve of the Yom Kippur holiday.
"The information provided by the Israeli military...runs counter to conclusions of the Russian defense ministry," the Kremlin said.
According to the Kremlin, the IDF was negligent in its actions during the Syria airstrike, and in its alleged failure to give proper warning to Russia regarding the impending strike.
"The Russian side proceeds from the fact that the actions by the Israeli air force were the main reason for the tragedy."
The Kremlin also said Netanyahu emphasized again during the call Monday his sadness over the deaths of the 15 Russian crew members.
During the call, Netanyahu told Putin he had full faith in the IDF report, which found the Syrian military responsible for the shooting down of the IL-20, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement Monday evening.
Last Tuesday morning, an IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft was reported missing over Syria, following an Israeli airstrike on a military research facility in northern Syria.
The plane, which was carrying 15 crew members, was later declared lost, after apparently being downed by a Syria surface-to-air missile.
Russian officials blamed Israel for the downing of the IL-20, saying the IDF had provided just one-minute advance notice of the impending airstrike to Russian Defense Ministry officials, adding that the Israeli fighter jets had used the IL-20 to draw the Syrian air defense network's fire.
Israel denied the claims, saying its jets were already out of the combat zone and in Israeli airspace when the IL-20 was downed, and that the IL-20 had been far from the area of the airstrikes during the Israeli operation.
An IDF delegation was dispatched to Moscow last week to share information collected by Israel as part of its investigation into the incident.
7. IAF IN REPORT TO RUSSIANS: WE DID NOT HIDE BEHIND RUSSIAN PLANE
by Arutz Sheva
An IDF delegation, led by the Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin, presented the complete IDF After Action Review (AAR) of the downing of the Russian plane by Syrian anti-air fire to senior Russian military officers.
"The AAR was conducted and presented in a thorough, detailed and professional manner," said the IDF in announcement Sunday afternoon. The statement went on to say:
"The comprehensive, accurate and factual details are known to the relevant professionals in the Russian military, and they clearly state that: the deconfliction mechanism operated in the relevant timeframe (as it has been operating over the last two and a half years); the IAF did not hide behind any aircraft and that the Israeli aircraft were in Israeli airspace at the time of the downing of the Russian plane.
"The result of the downing of the Russian plane by Syrian fire is severe and tragic and we convey our condolences to the bereaved families and the Russian People.
"The coordination between the IDF and the Russian military has proven its value numerous times over the last years. The continuation of the coordination is a shared interest in light of the various regional challenges.
"In addition, as we saw during this incident, the use of advanced weapons by irresponsible entities significantly endangers the area and can severely harm forces operating in the region.
"The safety and well-being of the Russian troops who operate in Syria are a focal component in every approval of any activity by senior officials in the IDF and in Israel.
"The IDF will continue to take all necessary measures, as it has been doing until this very day, to achieve this goal.
"The IDF will continue to operate in accordance with the directives of the Israeli Government against Iran's incessant attempts to establish itself in Syria and to arm the terrorist organization Hezbollah with lethal and accurate weapons."
Russia earlier blamed Israel for the downing of the military plane last week. Moscow accused Israel of deliberately misleading it and disputed Israel's version of events that killed the 15 Russian soldiers on board the plane.
A spokesman for Russia's Defense Ministry said Sunday that Moscow rejected specific claims presented personally last week by Israel's Air Force commander that blamed Syria for the event.
At a press conference, defense ministry officials claimed that the Israelis had informed Russia that their target was in northern Syria, but the Israeli warplanes ultimately carried out an attack in Latakia - in western Syria.
"The erroneous information provided did not give the transport plane time to reach a safe place," the Russians claimed, adding that the IAF planes had used the Russian transport plane as a cover for the Syrian missiles.
The reconnaissance Il-20 plane was brought down last week after it was hit by fire from Syrian semi-automated air defense systems, which were defending against Israeli F-16s that had struck Iranian targets in Syria.
8. ANALYSIS: RUSSIA THROWS ISRAEL UNDER THE BUS
by Yochanan Visser
Yochanan Visser is an independent journalist/analyst who worked for many years as Middle East correspondent for Western Journalism.com in Arizona and was a frequent publicist for the main Dutch paper De Volkskrant. He authored a book in the Dutch language about the cognitive war against Israel and now lives in Gush Etzion. He writes a twice weekly analysis of current issues for Arutz Sheva.
On Sunday and Monday, it became clear that Russia is using the downing of an Ilyushin IL-20 reconnaissance airplane last week as an excuse to change the rules of the game in the Syrian war and has now thrown Israel under the bus in its war against Iran.
On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry presented its own investigation in the incident which killed 15 Russian servicemen.
The Russian Defense ministry stuck to its opinion that Israel was to blame for the downing of the IL-20, although it was shot down by a Syrian S-200 surface to air missile (SAM). This occurred minutes after four IAF F16I warplanes attacked Syrian or Iranian targets in Assad's home base Latakia in northwestern Syria.
The Russians again said that the IAF planes hid behind the IL-20, something which is technically impossible, and accused the Israeli military of "unprofessional or criminally negligent actions, at the very least."
Former IAF pilot and Military Intelligence chief Amos Yadlin told media last week that "you can't hide behind a plane" and called the Russian claims "unprofessional and attempts to clear the Syrians of guilt."
In addition, as Arutz Sheva reported last week, the Israeli F-16's were flying at very low altitude - a tactic which has proven to be the right way to avoid being hit by an S-200 missile – while the IL-20 was at least 35 kilometers away and flying at a much higher altitude.
The IAF furthermore presented the Russians with its own reconstruction of the tragic event. The IAF unequivocally stated that the four F-16's were already back in Israeli airspace when the Syrian military randomly fired 20 S-200 missiles in all directions for more than forty minutes without checking air traffic in the area.
There's more.
On Sunday, Israeli journalist Avi Sharf fired off a tweet with new information about the downing of the IL-20 and wrote that the IAF struck its targets in Latakia at 21.41 P.M. while the Syrians started to launch the S-200 missiles at 21.51 P.M..
Instead of moving to safety and prohibiting the launch of the S-200 missiles, the Russian plane flew into the danger zone where it was downed at 22.03 P.M., according to Sharf.
The Russians now claim that Israel gave an advance warning only one minute before the attack in Latakia. They also accused Israel of lying about the location of the imminent strike which they said would take place in northern Syria and not in the west of the country..
Both claims are untrue, however.
The Israeli military warned the Russians via a special hotline much earlier, before the strike, and Latakia is located in northwest Syria, according to a senior IDF officer.
"The message was passed on much more than a minute before the attack, an amount of time that was acceptable, as has happened throughout all the years the military coordination has operated," the officer reported.
An IDF delegation headed by Air Force commander Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin presented the Russian military with all these details during a visit to Moscow last week.
"The comprehensive, accurate and factual details are known to the relevant professionals in the Russian military, and they clearly state that: the deconfliction mechanism operated in the relevant timeframe (as it has been operating over the last two and a half years); the IAF did not hide behind any aircraft and that the Israeli aircraft were in Israeli airspace at the time of the downing of the Russian plane," the IDF said in a statement after Norkin debriefed the Russians.
"In addition, as we saw during this incident, the use of advanced weapons by irresponsible entities significantly endangers the area and can severely harm forces operating in the region," the statement explained.
The IDF, furthermore, vowed that the safety of Russian troops in Syria is "a focal component in every approval of any activity by senior officials in the IDF and in Israel."
The Russian government has now announced that it will deliver the state-of-the-art S-300 anti-aircraft missile defense shield to Assad's military within two weeks and will begin to jam radar signals in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, something that severely hampers Israel's ability to prevent the Iranian military build-up in Syria.
Israeli leaders across the political spectrum have now called upon the United States to increase its involvement in Syria. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu again called Putin to convince him not to deliver the S-300 system to Assad's army.
The S-300 is able to track up to 100 targets simultaneously while it can engage with 12 at the same time. The system has a range of roughly 200 kilometers and can reach targets flying on an altitude up to 27,000 meters.
The delivery of the system had already been considered by the Russian government in April this year and would "create a no-go situation for Israel if allowed to be made operational by the Syrian regime," according to weapons expert Jennifer Dyer who spoke with Arutz Sheva at the time.
"Israel would lose the ability to preempt the 'build-up' to war before Iran and Syria can make it a full-blown war," Dyer furthermore warned while adding that delivery of the system to Syria would endanger air traffic as far as the northern Negev desert.
The US government, meanwhile, responded to the Russian announcement about the delivery of the S-300 missile shield by calling it a "significant escalation."
President Trump's National Security adviser John Bolton said the Administration hopes that Putin will reconsider the delivery of the system, but didn't announce measures to prevent the supply of the S-300.
Chances that Putin will indeed reconsider the delivery of the S-300 to Syria at this point in time are slim, however.
The Russian leader has his own agenda for Syria and the Middle East. He most likely will use the opportunity to shore up his prestige and to bolster the regime of his ally Bashar al-Assad which is heavily dependent on Russian and Iranian aid.
Netanyahu has now vowed that Israel "will continue to protect its security and interests," but he will have difficulty to continue Israel's struggle against Iran in Syria in the manner in which it has been conducted since it became obvious that the Islamic Republic used the civil war in the country to take over the country and to open a new front against Israel on the Golan Heights.
