1. 'MADRID IS ENCOURAGING VIOLENCE AGAINST ISRAEL'
by Nitzan Keidar

Israel protested to the mayor of Madrid about the festive visit she organized for terrorist Ahed Tamimi, who was convicted of incitement against security forces and attacking IDF soldiers, for which she served eight months in prison.

Tamimi was accompanied by her family at the invitation of the city leaders and the Real Madrid soccer club at the stadium of the Spanish team, Bernabeu.

Real Madrid did not make do with a special tour played by former soccer star Emilio Butragueno, but also prepared a jersey with her name printed on it.

Daniel Kutner, the Israeli ambassador to Spain, sent a letter of protest to Mayor Manuela Carmena. "The move by the Madrid municipality encourages violence against Israeli civilians and undermines any attempt to create a genuine dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians," Kutner wrote.

Kutner added, "Ahed Tamimi is not an innocent fighter for peace, but an instigator of violence and terror. Any institution that welcomes her indirectly promotes violence and aggression instead of promoting dialogue and understanding."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Emanuel Nahshon wrote on his Twitter account, "The prestigious soccer club of Real Madrid embraces a terrorist inciting to hatred and violence. Shameful."

"Ahed Tamimi is promoting violence against Israeli citizens. @realmadrid-receiving a terrorist that incites hatred and violence is something that has nothing to do with universal football values."

3. HUNDREDS ATTEND FUNERAL OF ARI NESHER IN CENTRAL ISRAEL
by Arutz Sheva Staff

The late Ari Nesher, who was run over last week while riding an electric bicycle in Tel Aviv, was laid to rest on Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds of family members, friends and acquaintances attended the funeral at the cemetery in Moshav Udim in central Israel.

Before arrival at the cemetery, MDA motorbikes held a ceremonial ride in honor of Ari, who volunteered in the organization.

Nesher's organs were donated by his family after his death was determined, and went to save the lives of five patients.

At the same time, the arrest of soccer player Yitzhak Aspeh, who was suspected of running over and abandoning the late Ari Nesher, was extended with agreement this morning until Tuesday.

At a hearing in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, it became clear that Aspeh had begun to cooperate with his interrogators, following several days after his arrest in which he insisted on preserving the right to remain silent.

4. ISRAEL CONSUL GENERAL'S DAUGHTER BULLIED BY 'SJP' AT COLUMBIA
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Ofir Dayan, 24, an undergraduate at Columbia University and the daughter of Israel Consul General in New York Dani Dayan, said she is being harassed and threatened by campus student group "Students for Justice in Palestine" (SJP) - and that the school administration is failing to protect her.

"SJP is violent," she told the New York Post. "I'm worried about my personal safety."

Dayan, who previously served as an IDF officer in Gaza and Lebanon and now studies political science at Columbia, described to the New York Post a series of tense encounters with the anti-Israel student group since beginning her undergraduate studies, which have been ignored by administrators.

In one incident during fall 2017, Dayan was talking in Hebrew on the phone in the lobby of the campus building which houses the "Middle East Institute" when, she said, "A girl heard me and started screaming, 'Stop killing Muslim babies! . . . You're a murderer!' "Then she screamed, 'Zionist, get out!' A nearby public-safety administrator did nothing."

In another incident during October 2017, Dayan said that she and four other members of the "Students Supporting Israel" (SSI) group, of which she serves as Vice President, were leaving an on-campus event for Israeli beauty queen Titi Aynaw, when they were spotted by SJP members.

"They started screaming their slogans with a microphone to intimidate us. There were at least 50 SJP members blocking the walkway," she described.

"They were really angry and it was scary," Dayan said. "I believed it would escalate to physical violence."

A complaint SSI filed with a student run "adjudication board" was ultimately dismissed by a school administrator who advises the board as being "too complicated" for the board to deal with because the incident in question was from a previous semester.

Dayan said that the hostile atmosphere at the university has gotten worse since February 2018, when her father spoke on campus and SJP set up mock checkpoints nearby to intimidate those in attendance.

A month later, SJP members shouted "terrorist" at her as she handed out literature for "Hebrew Liberation Week."

An administrator told SSI at a subsequent meeting that the school could not do anything without proof of anti-Semitism.

"I thought the university would protect me, but they didn't do anything when [protesters] called me a terrorist," Dayan concluded. "The school stands by as I'm harassed."

5. REAL MADRID'S GUEST OF HONOR IS TEEN TERRORIST
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Real Madrid, a Spanish soccer club, on Friday hosted teen terrorist Ahed Tamimi.

Tamimi served an eight-month prison sentence for attacking IDF soldiers, and has since said that her goal is to "eliminate Israel."

Tamimi met with Emilio Butragueño, a former Real Madrid player.

She also received a soccer shirt sporting her name and the number 9.

Real Madrid welcomed Palestinian teenage activist Ahed Tamimi to the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday after spending eight months in prison for slapping an Israeli soldier in December 2017," the team tweeted Saturday.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon tweeted, "The prestigious soccer club of Real Madrid embraces a terrorist inciting to hatred and violence. Shameful."

"Ahed Tamimi is promoting violence against Israeli citizens. @realmadrid-receiving a terrorist that incites hatred and violence is something that has nothing to do with universal football values."

6. RABBIS URGE IMMEDIATE CONFIRMATION OF JUDGE KAVANAUGH
by Mordechai Sones

After a day of painful testimony from both Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Ford, who accused him of misconduct 36 years ago during high school, the Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 1,000 traditional rabbis in matters of public policy, renewed its call for the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court. The CJV stated that to abandon previous evaluations of Judge Kavanaugh based solely upon uncorroborated testimony would violate both Biblical and accepted modern standards for evidence — and basic fairness as well.

"The Bible not only doubly emphasizes that 'justice, justice shall you pursue,' (Deut. 16:20)," said Rabbi Dov Fischer, West Coast Regional VP of the CJV, "but it also enjoins us to avoid peddling in unsubstantiated rumors (Lev. 19:16). People can easily make mistakes and harm the innocent. Furthermore, we should be judged on the totality of our lives, not merely on one alleged incident, and certainly not on an incident that is unsubstantiated and unprovable."

While appreciating the pain of the events experienced by Dr. Ford, the Rabbis pointed out that the Senate was prepared to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh as an extraordinarily well-qualified candidate until opposing Senators pulled out her initially-anonymous letter as a last-ditch effort to block the vote — and then failed to corroborate her charge.

"Is it now the American way to discard an outstanding candidate," asked Rabbi Yoel Schonfeld, Vice President of the CJV, "based solely upon an uncorroborated, unsubstantiated accusation that is even contradicted by those named to support it? It is immoral to besmirch someone's name in the court of public opinion on 'evidence' that would not stand in a court of law."

The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), the largest rabbinic public policy organization in America, articulates and advocates for public policy positions based upon traditional Jewish thought.

7. "MAJOR POLICE OPERATION" SEALS OFF COPENHAGEN AREA
by Arutz Sheva

In a "major operation," Danish police have shut major bridges to traffic and halted ferry services from Denmark to Sweden and Germany, Danish police said Friday.

The island of Zeeland has been sealed off.

Police said that the Oresund bridge, which links Denmark and Sweden, and the Great Belt Bridge, which links Zeeland and Funen with the Danish mainland, have been closed.

The Aftonbladet newspaper said a Swedish-registered car was being sought in connection with a kidnapping.

All traffic to and from Zeeland is said to be at a standstill according to local media.

Thor Wilkens, a press spokesman at Copenhagen Police, said: "We can not even say what it's about."

All of the ferries between Rødby-Puttgarden and Gedser-Rostock are reportedly closed, and there are no trains to or from Zeeland for the time being.
