Magen David Adom (MDA) personnel were forced to declare the death of Rina Shnerb, the 17-year-old young woman injured Friday in a terror attack near the Binyamin-region town of Dolev.

Three people were injured in the attack, which occurred at the Ein Bubin spring near Dolev when a terrorist threw an explosive device at Israeli hikers.

She will be buried Friday afternoon in the new cemetery in her hometown of Lod.

Her father was moderately injured in the attack, while her 20-year-old brother suffered serious injuries.

The terrorists who threw the explosive device escaped the scene and are being hunted by the IDF.

IDF forces are chasing a suspicious vehicle which escaped the scene and is believed to be the vehicle of the terrorists who threw the explosive device. The possibility that the explosive was a grenade thrown at people hiking in the spring is also being investigated.

Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is receiving constant updates regarding the intelligence and operational efforts to capture the terrorists who carried out the attack, and will hold security meetings with top Defense Ministry officials.

Ein Bubin is also called "Danny's Spring," after Danny Gonen, a Lod resident who was murdered there several years ago by a Palestinian Authority terrorist who had requested water.

2. YAMINA TO NETANYAHU: 'JEWISH BLOOD HAS BECOME WORTHLESS'
by Eliran Aharon

Transportation Minister Bezalel Smotrich (Yamina), who also serves as a member of the cabinet, responded Friday morning to the terror attack near the Binyamin-region town of Dolev.

In the attack, an explosive device detonated, wounding a father and two of his children. Two of the victims - the father and his 20-year-old son - were very seriously injured, while the third - an 18-year-old young woman - was critically injured.

"While we are busy with Iran and the Gaza border, precious Jews are injured every week in Judea and Samaria," Smotrich said. "This must end. Mr. Prime Minister, it's time to charge a price. Terrorists receive support from the Palestinian Authority, are considered heroes in their communities, and receive good conditions in jail.

"The Palestinian Authority, which incites to terror, must be disbanded, and we must put an end to their hope and begin taking responsibility and applying sovereignty to all areas of Judea and Samaria. We need to adopt the recommendations of the committee which Public Security Minister [Gilad] Erdan created, and worse the terrorists' conditions in jail.

"We must immediately replace the checkpoints in Judea and Samaria. The Arabs' quality of life is not worth a single one of us killed. The blood of our brothers and sisters, children and parents, is screaming from the depths of the earth, and this cannot continue."

MK Moti Yogev (Yamina), who is a resident of Dolev, said: "Jews come to that place to find water and life, while bad Arabs go there searching for death. In order to end the wave of terror attacks, save lives, and add life, we need to strengthen our control over Judea and Samaria, harm the terror leaders in a way that will deter them, and strengthen the Jewish settlement."

Education Minister Rabbi Rafi Peretz (Yamina) said: "The horrific terror attack in Binyamin this morning is a crime which demands a response. I trust that the security forces will locate the terrorists soon and elimiante them. Unlike our enemies, our response is to add life. The true response is construction and creation."

"The Education Ministry headed by me will advance the plans to expand trips in Judea and Samaria, and we will demand that in place of the destruction there will be construction - immediate approval of construction plans in Judea and Samaria. I wish a quick recovery to the injured and support the security forces and residents of Judea and Samaria."

Yamina MK Ofir Sofer said: "The recent and difficult chain of events obligates us to change our policies and act harshly against terrorism. We must destroy the terrorists' homes immediately and effectively. We must also destroy the homes of terrorists who only caused injury, not deaths. I call on the Prime Minister and Defense Minister to act harshly with the terrorists and their accomplices in general, and especially in the jails."

A spokesperson for Yamina said: "Jewish blood is not worthless. This policy of accepting murderous terror attacks must end. Whether it's on the Gaza border or in Judea and Samaria - the terrorists do not rest, and Israel accepts it. This is an untenable situation and we must put an end to it: by going back to the eliminations, by placing checkpoints, by destroying terrorists' homes, and by applying sovereignty - today."

3. HER SON WAS MURDERED AT SAME SPOT: 'I FEEL A STORM OF EMOTIONS'
by Sara Rubenstein

Bereaved mother Devorah Gonen responded to the terrorist incident on Friday morning in which three family members were badly injured by an explosion in a terrorist incident by the Ein Bubin spring near Dolev. Devorah's son Danny was shot to death in a terrorist incident fours years ago in the same spot, also on a Friday, and the spring was subsequently named after him.

Gonen responded on Friday: "I feel a storm of emotions. I just heard about the terrorist attack. Every attack brings us back. It happened in the same place, the same day - Friday. The location was supposed to be secure."

"My feelings are extremely difficult. [Israeli] residents shouldn't give up on our land, on our state. The decision-makers shouldn't give up. [Israeli] citizens must be protected. They're not doing us a favor by ensuring our safety. We need to return home and it's their duty to take care of it."

"Their considerations are of no interest to anyone. The value of life is a supreme value. People need to return home in peace after an outing - including people who live in Tel Aviv, in Jerusalem or Dolev."

"Deterrence needs to be increased. It's been two weeks since Dvir Sorek was killed. How long is it possible to look in the eyes of the [bereaved] families? This must be stopped. It's time to stop burying our people. I can't bear it anymore. "

The spring where the three family members were wounded on Friday morning is a popular hiking site for both Israelis and Arabs. Four years ago, on a summer day, Danny Gonen was killed by a Palestinian Authority Arab who met Gonen and his friend by the spring and asked them "Is there water in the spring?" He then shot them at point-blank range. Danny's friend survived but it was too late for Danny.

4. FOREBODINGS OF WAR?
by Manfred Gerstenfeld

The security situation became a more central issue in Israeli politics this week due to a number of new terrorist attacks and attempted attacks. A car ramming attack took place near Elazar. One Israeli youngster was severely wounded, his sister, moderately so. The IDF thwarted an infiltration attempt from Gaza killing five armed Palestinian terrorists. Several rockets were fired from Gaza. Arson that began in Lebanon while the wind was blowing toward Israel spread fires close to Israels Northern border.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu reacted by saying that Israel will embark if needed on a wide scale campaign in the Gaza Strip irrespective of the upcoming elections. He said so at Ben Gurion airport on his way to Ukraine for a two day trip.

In reaction to an earlier lethal terrorist attack, Yamina leader Ayelet Shaked said that the government should act to stop the transfer of payments to convicted terrorists by the Palestinian Authority. She and another prominent candidate of her list, Naftali Bennett also asked the government to annex the Gush Etzion bloc of settlements.

Shaked came out strongly against a report in the Haaretz daily. It claimed that she had offered Netanyahu assistance in obtaining immunity from prosecution in return for him to allow her to become a candidate for Likud in the elections. She said that she never spoke to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit about criminal probes of politicians especially not about Netanyahu.

Many election polls have so far been published. If one does not take into account MK Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu - neither the government nor the combined opposition parties have a majority. Yet there seems to be hardly any compelling reason to cause voters from either block to switch sides.

This stimulates the competition between the Likud and Blue and White who will receive the most seats. In the April elections both ended up with 35 MKs. Neither of them approaches this figure in any of the current polls. That is particularly bad for the Likud as it has absorbed the Kulanu party led by Moshe Kahlon which gained an additional four seats in April.

While the efforts to draw people in from the opposite camp seem to have failed, there are claims that the two big parties are trying to draw voters away from their potential allies. For the Likud that means that the right-wing Yamina is a target. The Democratic Union list leader, Nitzan Horowitz has accused Blue and White that it aims to draw away his voters.

The Ynet site published that Blue and White leader MK Benny Gantz had hired a firm to find out who was leaking confidential information from his list. The site reported that a leading person from the Yesh Atid party which is part of the Blue and White list was the culprit. This story once again raises the question whether the Yesh Atid component of Blue and White and the factions led by Gantz and MK Moshe Yaalon will stay together after the election.

Likud Labor and Social Affairs Minister Haim Katz has resigned from the cabinet. The Attorney General had announced his intention to indict him on charges of fraud and breach of trust. Katz will remain an MK and is expected to be re-elected in the September elections.

State Attorney Shai Nitzan has recommended to Mandelblit to indict Interior Minister and leader of the haredi Shas party Aryeh Deri for tax crimes, fraud, money laundering and obstruction crimes. Deri has an earlier criminal record.

Meretz leader Nitzan Horowitz, has stated that if his list would join a center-left coalition, it would ask for a freeze on settlement construction except for major settlement blocks, close to the pre-1967 green line. It would also insist on peace negotiations with the Palestinian Authority as an immediate priority for the government, with the aim of the establishment of a Palestinian State.

Horowitz suggested about Gaza that it was a small enclave with millions of people who have no other option than to throw missiles at Israel and carry out terrorist acts. The list’s third candidate, former IDF deputy chief of staff Yair Golan, has said that Israel should cooperate with Hamas to stabilize the security situation for the residents of southern Israel.

Parties can pool excess votes, not required for their seats. This may enable one of them to get an extra seat. Yisrael Beytenu and Blue and White have entered in such a surplus-vote sharing agreement. It has also become known that Yisrael Beytenu leader Liberman has met before the municipal elections in Jerusalem in 2013 with the since then deceased leader of the radical ultra-orthodox faction rabbi Shmuel Auerbach. This in order to gain support for Liberman’s candidate for the mayoralty Moshe Lion. Liberman is running the current campaign of his party expressing major opposition to the haredim.

The Likud has joined a court appeal from the far-right Otzma Yehudit party to the Supreme Court. They want to exclude the Joint Arab list from competing in the election. The Likud said that it was opposed to Knesset members who incite to violence or support terror, This is what one of the components of the joint Arab list – Balad – has done in the past.

5. NETANYAHU: IT’S EITHER BIBI - OR TIBI
by Hezki Baruch

Prime Minister and Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu attended a conference with members of the Bukhara community on Thursday evening.

During the conference, Netanyahu commented on the statement by Joint List chairman MK Ayman Odeh, who told the Yediot Aharonot newspaper that he would be willing to join a coalition of center-left parties.

"Today Ayman Odeh said he would support and recommend Benny Gantz as Prime Minister, and that he is ready to join a left-wing government led by Benny Gantz," said Netanyahu.

"This is what the election is about. A weak left-wing government, led by Benny Gantz in a rotation with Lapid and Ayman Odeh as a member of the government, or a strong right-wing government headed by me. This is what the election is about: It’s either Bibi - or Tibi," he added.

Earlier, MK Ahmed Tibi responded to Odeh and made clear that he would not be part of a “government of generals” with Gantz, Moshe Ya'alon and Gabi Ashkenazi – all of whom are former IDF Chiefs of Staff.

In an interview on Channel 13, Tibi added, "There is a difference between the title and the article in the Odeh interview. In a post he wrote, he explained that he intended to enter the government only after the end of the occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state, along with other things. The occupation will probably not end after the elections and so this is a utopian scenario, which aims to create a statement and say that we want to make a bigger impact on the political system."

IDF fighter jets attacked a number of terror targets at a Hamas naval facility in the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday night.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the attack was carried out in retaliation to the rocket fire on southern Israel earlier in the evening.

Shortly after the Israeli air strike, around 1:00 a.m., another rocket was identified as having been launched from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that as a result of the fire, an alert was activated only in the open area.

Around 4:00 a.m., IDF fighter jets attacked several other terrorist targets belonging to Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the attack was carried out in response to the second rocket attack from Gaza.

"The IDF will continue to act against attempts to harm Israeli civilians and considers the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for what is happening in and out of the Gaza Strip," it said.

On Wednesday evening, terrorists from Gaza fired one rocket into Israeli territory. A siren was sounded in one of the communities in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council.

The rocket exploded in an open area. No physical injuries or damages were reported.

Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz responded to the rocket attack, "Again a Red Color siren, again the children in the south are in protected spaces. [Hamas leader] Sinwar sets the agenda - and Netanyahu has lost confidence and wiped out Israeli deterrence. On September 17, we will give Hamas two options: Total quiet and returning our boys or total quiet and returning our boys through military force.”

Viewer discretion advised. Some may find the images on this video disturbing.

A total of 28 terror attacks against Jews in Judea and Samaria were reported over the past week, bringing the total number of attacks since the beginning of 2019 to 1,364.

Boomerang, which tracks terrorism in Judea and Samaria with its Weekly Terror Report, also produced a video this week sharing what many Israelis feel deep inside when thinking of their Arab neighbors - that the horrendous pogrom in which 67 Jews were raped, tortured, mutilated and murdered in Hevron 90 years ago could happen again if the Arabs were able to do so..

Every one of Boomerang's videos is published on social media, reaching an average of 60k views on Boomerang's platform alone. Boomerang's videos have also been released on over 130 media publications since 2019. Boomerang fights very hard - day and night - for what it believes in, and unfortunately, there is still so much to do.
