1. LABOR ACCUSES BLUE AND WHITE OF BEING 'RIGHT-WING'
by Arutz Sheva Staff

The Labor party released a video accusing the Blue and White party of being a ight-wing party that intends to "build in the settlements no less than Netanyahu."

In response, the Blue and White people wrote on its Twitter account, "Shalom to the Labor Party. But seriously, an indictment against the prime minister, Smotrich as a candidate for education minister, Bibi putting the Kahanists in the government, corruption eating the country, and all you have in response is this campaign against the Blue and White party? Against the only chance to replace the Netanyahu government? Really, are seats all you care about?"

The Labor party quickly responded on Twitter: "Really??? You are the ones who say 'Blue and White is the Likud of the past, which means 'we will build in the settlements no less than Netanyahu' and that 'our ideology is the same as the Likud's.' Thanks, but we have been in this movie already. Ask Lapid. We are the only insurance policy to insure that no one takes votes for the camp of change and give them to the right."

2. 'NETANYAHU KNOWS WHERE HADAR IS AND WHO HOLDS HIM'
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Leah and Simcha Goldin, the parents of Hadar Goldin, whose body is held by Hamas in Gaza, attacked Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Netanyahu following his speech at the State Memorial Service for fallen IDF soldiers whose burial place is unknown.

"Our son, Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, from the Givati Brigade. whom you sent to fight in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge, is not in the position of an fallen IDF soldier whose burial place is unknown," they said.

"There is a difference between the situation of Hadar and Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul and the status of IDF soldiers whose burial place is unknown," said the parents.

According to them, "Hadar was kidnapped into a tunnel in Rafah on August 1, 2014 and is being held by Hamas. He is being held by the people with whom you are negotiating and are transferring tens of millions of dollars from Qatar."

They said that Prime Minister Netanyahu "knows very well where Hadar is and who holds him."

"You simply do not demand the return of Hadar and Oron, and for 4.5 years you have refrained from setting conditions for Hamas," they accused the prime minister.

3. MK SMOTRICH REBUKES CHIEF JUSTICE: 'DON'T BELITTLE LEGISLATURE'
by Hezki Baruch

In the course of the Supreme Court hearing in the appeal against the candidacies of Dr. Michael Ben-Ari and Adv. Itamar Ben-Gvir, a fierce confrontation developed between the Chief Justice and National Union Chairman MK Betzalel Smotrich.

After Hayut reprimanded MK Smotrich, "Don't shout here, this isn't the Knesset," Smotrich replied. "Don't belittle the legislature and don't disrespect Knesset Members." Hayut replied to Smotrich, "This isn't the Knesset, there are different legal procedures here."

Smotrich replied, "I'm happy for the clarification." Hayut replied, "I need clarify for you nothing." In response, Smotrich said to her, "Don't belittle the Knesset and the public."

Afterwards, Chief Justice Hayut also chastised Knesset Member Stav Shafir of the Labor Party, who tried to speak: "You won't speak here, it isn't the Knesset."

At this stage, Justice Fogelman joined Chief Justice Hayut, "This isn't anarchy here; what you're doing here is unprecedented, the politicians will not speak here."

After the discussion, Smotrch reflected on what he'd just witnessed and said, "You needed to be here to see the disgusting contempt and condescension of the judges towards the Knesset Members present here in the hearing, from both sides of the political fence. They simply despise us and what we represent. And it's in the nature of man to reciprocate other's attitudes towards them.

"What's under discussion here is the very composition of the Knesset in the next term, and involvement of Knesset Members in this debate is the most legitimate thing in the world. It's also legitimate for the judges to decide not to let MKs talk so as not to turn the debate into a political election platform, but there's a way to relate to a Knesset member who's in the middle of a sentence. They wouldn't treat someone like that if they had a modicum of respect. And that's nothing new," Smotrich added.

An 80-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a bus in Jerusalem Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred at a bus stop on Olei Hagardom Street in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood.

A Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic mounted on an MDA motorcycle reported from the scene that the elderly man was hit by an articulated (multi-section) bus and that he was declared dead at the scene.

The doctor, Dr. Michael Herman, said: "When I arrived, I saw an 80-year-old man trapped under the bus, suffering from severe systemic damage."

"The patient was not breathing and had no pulse. I performed medical tests, but unfortunately he had no signs of life and I had to determine his death instead," added Dr. Hermann.

Police forces arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the incident. The driver of the bus was detained for questioning.

5. US DONORS RESPONSIBLE FOR FOILING MAJOR TERROR ATTACK?
by Uzi Baruch

A terrorist infiltration into an Israeli town in Samaria was foiled last week – thanks in large part to security cameras paid for by donations from a US-based pro-Israel organization.

Last Friday night, two terrorists attempted to infiltrate the Israeli town of Rehelim, just south of the Tapuah Junction in Samaria.

Local security personnel responded just before the terrorists breached the town's perimeter, though the two suspects managed to flee the scene.

Activist Ayelet Lasch, a resident of Rehelim, said the infiltration could have ended in "disaster", had the town's security team not responded in time.

"I think that a disaster has been prevented," Lasch said.

In recent years, terrorists have infiltrated Israeli towns – typically at night, and often on Friday night, during the Sabbath – and massacred residents in home invasions.

In March 2011, Amjad and Hakim Awad infiltrated into the Samaria town of Itamar on a Friday night and slaughtered five members of the Fogel family in their home.

A similar attack took place in July 2017, also on a Friday night, when Omar al-Abed infiltrated into the southwest Samaria town of Halamish (Neve Tzuf) and stabbed three Israelis to death, and wounded a fourth.

The most recent infiltration attempt was foiled after the terrorists were spotted on security cameras paid for by a US-based group which raises money to help secure Israeli towns.

The One Israel Fund, based in Cedarhurst, New York, paid for the cameras, after the defense minister and prime minister failed to approve funding to enhance security measures at high-risk towns.

The cameras proved instrumental in foiling the infiltration, enabling the town's security team to rush to the scene.

Samaria Regional Council chief Yossi Dagan said the town's reliance on foreign donations for its security was 'scandalous'.

"It is absolutely scandalous that a town needs to look for donations from charities to provide the single most basic thing for every citizen in Israel – security. This incident last Friday night is a red warning light to the defense minister and prime minister. We demand that the money needed to upgrade our security systems be immediately transferred to the towns that are under threat. As it stands now, they're playing roulette with the lives of our residents."

The IDF revealed for the first time on Wednesday that Hezbollah has begun an attempt to establish a secret resistance force on the Syrian Golan Heights.

Hezbollah, according to the information, has established a terrorist infrastructure called "the Golan file", which constitutes the establishment of another front against Israel in the next war.

The infrastructure includes dozens of operatives and is headed by Abu Hussein Sajid, who joined Hezbollah in 1983 and served in a number of operational positions in southern Lebanon during the IDF presence in the area.

During his service, he was imprisoned by the American forces after he led the kidnapping and execution of five American soldiers. This past summer he was sent by the organization to Syria in order to establish Hezbollah's new organization.

According to intelligence sources in Israel, the infrastructure was departmentalized so that even the Assad regime in Syria and many elements of the Shiite organization in Lebanon were unaware of its existence.

Today, the organization's members concentrate on familiarizing themselves with the Golan Heights and gathering intelligence, in order to operate cells composed of Syrian operatives that would carry out attacks against Israel.

7. STATE DEPT: GOLAN HEIGHTS IS ISRAELI
by Gary Willig

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo released the 2018 Human Rights Reports on Thursday. The report included a section on Israel, the Golan Heights, Judea and Samaria, and Gaza.

Notably, the report referred to the Golan Heights as "Israeli-controlled" instead of "Israeli-occupied," and drops the words "occupied" and "occupation" from everything related to Judea and Samaria and Gaza for the first time.

According to the report: "Israel's democratic institutions remain strong, including a free press, independent judiciary, free and fair elections, and rule of law."

A US administration official told Arutz Sheva that "Our policy regarding the Golan Heights has not changed."

"We have used a different title in the Human Rights Report to refer to the familiar geographic terms of the area where the report was written," he said.

The report noted the violence and terrorist activity that have occurred during the riots along the Gaza border over the past year.

"Beginning on March 30, Israeli forces engaged in conflict with Palestinians at the Gaza fence, including armed terrorists, militants who launched incendiary devices into Israel, and unarmed protesters, reportedly leading to 190 Palestinian deaths by the end of the year.

"Other human rights issues included reports of unlawful or arbitrary killings, including rocket attacks from Gaza-based militants and terrorist attacks targeting Israelis that killed 16 people in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza; arbitrary detention of irregular migrants from January to April; unresolved issues of land and housing for Arab citizens, especially Bedouin Israelis; punitive demolitions of the homes of Palestinians following terrorist attacks by a family member on Israelis; excessive force by police in response to protests by certain groups; use of administrative (pre-crime or pre-indictment) detention against Palestinians whom the government deemed security risks; and restrictions on freedom of movement for Palestinians."

The report also noted the passage of the Nationality Law as well as a law fining employers of illegal immigrants.

The Palestinian Authority and Hamas also received attention for their human rights abuses in the report.

"In areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority, there were allegations of torture of political prisoners, restrictions on freedom of expression, including for members of the press, forced labor, and child labor.

"Human rights abuses under Hamas' rule in Gaza reportedly included rocket and mortar attacks against civilian targets in Israel, unlawful and arbitrary killings, disappearances, torture, arbitrary and unlawful detention, including of political prisoners; restrictions on freedoms of expression, including for members of press, such as violence against journalists; and arbitrary interference with NGO operations and opposition political parties."

8. 'WHY I ENJOY ANTI-SEMITISM'
by Israel News Talk Radio

Sha'i ben-Tekoa refers to the intensification of anti-Semitism and attempts to harm Jews around the world.

In his opinion, the harassment of the Jewish people proves how many other peoples fear the Jewish people and how much it proves that everything the people of Israel believe in is the truth.
