1. 'WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KNOCK IN MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?'
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Naama Cohen, murdered Ori Ansbacher's aunt, spoke in an interview on the 'Kalman&Lieberman' Show on Kan about her niece, the 19 year old found murdered on Thursday.
The body of Ori Ansbacher was found in the wooded area Ein Yael near the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo after she had been being reported missing earlier that day.
"Ori was an amazing girl, a girl full of love," said Naama. "Unfortunately, many family members did not receive the official message in a proper way, but through the media, which published it [the story] before the family knew."
Naama also spoke of her last conversation with Ori, who filled her in on her experiences in the National Service. "Every time she came her hug was strong, given with all her heart."
"She told us about National Service – working with youth, she enjoyed it and gave it her all. In every young person, she tried to see his soul, despite the difficulties," she said.
Later in the conversation, the aunt wondered why it was so urgent to inform the family of the terrorist's apprehension on Friday night, in middle of the night.
"They knocked on the door in the middle of the night, on Shabbat, to update us that the terrorist was caught. For what? Who needs it?"
The suspect is a 29 year old Arab who had been apprehended twice in the past and had served time in prison.
2. HEVRON ARAB SUSPECTED OF MURDERING ORI ANSBACHER
by Arutz Sheva Staff
An Arab from Hevron was arrested for last week's brutal murder of 19-year-old Ori Ansbacher.
The suspect was caught in a mosque in Al-Bireh, an Arab village adjoining Ramallah. Authorities pinpointed his location following forensic evidence collected at the scene by police and the Shin Bet security service.
During the arrest, IDF forces were faced with violent riots by locals, who hurled stones and other heavy objects.
The Ansbacher family was updated shortly after the arrest.
Ori Ansbacher, 19, was found dead in the Emek Refaim Forest in Jerusalem and was buried on Friday in her hometown of Tekoa.
Na'a, the mother of Ori, said at the grave that "You will not have time to learn, get married and travel in all the places you wanted. You will not be able to realize all the dreams you wanted so much to realize. We are returning you to the land you so loved."

3. TERRORIST REENACTS MURDER OF JEWISH TEENAGER
by Arutz Sheva Staff
The terrorist suspected of murdering 19-year-old Jewish teenager Ori Ansbacher on Thursday at Ein Yael near the Jerusalem zoo, this morning reenacted the murder for investigators at the scene.
At the same time, IDF forces this morning surveyed the suspect's home in Hevron for the purpose of examining the possibility of demolishing it.
The interrogation of the terrorist in the Shin Bet revealed that on Thursday morning the suspect, Arafat Arfaya of Hevron, left his home in Hevron with a knife and made his way toward the village of Beit Jala.
He walked toward the forest, where he noticed Ori, attacking and murdering her.
The rest of the details of the investigation are under gag order.
Tomorrow, the suspect is to be brought for a remand hearing.

4. POLICE: FATAL ACCIDENT FOLLOWED ANOTHER ACCIDENT NEARBY
by Tal Polon
Police investigating the serious car accident this morning on Route 443 northwest of Jerusalem found that the accident apparently transpired following another smaller accident nearby.
Two women were killed in the accident and another 41 people were injured.
Investigations indicate that prior to the fatal accident, another accident took place between two vehicles in the lane heading from Beit Horon to Modi'in.
A passenger van in the opposite lane, heading toward Jerusalem, then perceived the accident and stopped on the left side of the lane, with the intent of providing aid at the scene of the accident.
At this point, a bus following the van hit the van and flipped over on its side, skidding into a ditch and hitting the safety rail.

5. BENNETT ON ABBAS: 'IF HE WANTS TO COMMIT SUICIDE, HE SHOULD'
by Arutz Sheva Staff
In light of the brutal murder of Ori Ansbacher on Thursday, New Right Chairman Naftali Bennet calls on the Prime Minister to convene the security cabinet to implement the law passed in July that will enable the government to freeze terror funds.
"The disgusting murderer of Ori Ansbacher, may G-d avenge her blood, will be starting in the coming days to receive a terror allowance of 18 to 20,000 shekels a month for the rest of his life. Unless we act. The Israeli government is able to act. This past July we passed, on its third reading, the law of freezing terrorist funds. The law has come into effect on the first of January."
"All that the prime minister needs to do is to bring the cabinet in, to present it and activate the law. I call on Prime Minister Netanyahu to call the security cabinet in this evening in order to activate the law to of freeze terrorist funds, in order that the disgusting murderer of Ori Ansbacher, may G-d avenge her blood, won't receive one penny, and will serve time in prison," Bennett added.
In what is known as Pay-to-Slay policy, the Palestinian Authority pays terrorists in prison a monthly allowance. The prisoners receive a higher pay than that of an active member of the PA security forces for wounding and killing Israelis. The PA budget for payments to terrorists in Israeli prisons skyrocketed to $158 million in 2017.
"I hear from security organizations that they are worried of the threats by Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas), that if we cut off terror funds, they will not take money from Israel at all, and the Palestinian Authority will collapse."
"I say that we do not need to give in to these threats. If he wants to commit suicide, he should commit suicide, it is not our problem. We, the ministers of the New Right [party] fully push Prime Minister Netanyahu, in the face of these threats from the Palestinian Authority, to simply implement today, to pass today, and secure today the law to freeze terror funds," concluded Bennett.

7. NEW DETAILS REVEALED REGARDING GRISLY MURDER OF ORI ANSBACHER
by Arutz Sheva Staff
The Shin Bet released new details regarding the gruesome murder of 19-year-old Ori Ansbacher in the Jerusalem forest last week.
According to the Shin Bet, 29 year-old Hevron native Arafat Afariah set out with a knife. When he saw Ansbacher in the Jerusalem Forest, he stabbed her multiple times in the chest and killed her.
The investigation is at its height and the majority of the details are under a gag order.
Ansbacher, a volunteer at a youth center in Jerusalem, had walked to the Jerusalem forest to be alone after an argument when she was murdered. Afariah was arrested on Saturday by Israeli special forces in a mosque in Al Bireh, a village near Ramallah.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said following Afariah's arrest that "I congratulate the Shin Bet security services and the Israel Police that within a few hours captured the abominable murderer who murdered Ori Ansbacher. Israel's long arm reaches anyone who harms us and we will settle accounts with them."
"In my name and on behalf of the people of Israel, I wish to express my condolences to the Ansbacher family and to strengthen them with their great grief."
8. POLL: JEWISH HOME DOES NOT PASS ELECTORAL THRESHOLD
by Arutz Sheva Staff
A poll conducted for Hadashot's "Meet the Press" shows the Likud winning 32 seats in the upcoming elections in April.
Following the Likud is Benny Gantz's Hosen L'Yisrael Party with 22 seats, Yesh Atid with 11, Naftali Bennett's New Right with 8, Labor with 7, and the haredi United Torah Judaism also getting 7.
Ahmed Tibi's Ta'al got 7 seats, Shas rose to 6 seats, Meretz earned five, along with Kulanu, Yisrael Beytenu, and the Arab-Israeli Joint List. Meanwhile, a slew of right wing parties did not cross the electoral threshold, including the Jewish Home, National Union, Otzma Yehudit, and Zehut.
The survey was conducted among 503 respondents representing a sample of the entire adult population in Israel.
To enter the Knesset, a party list must get at least 3.25% of all valid votes, or approximately 140,000 to 145,000, given projections of likely voter turnout. Any party which fails to receive more than 3.25% of the vote is denied representation in the Knesset – even if it received enough votes for one, two, or even three seats.
A poll on Friday found that right and center-right would suffer greater net losses from parties failing to cross the electoral threshold.
Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu party, which won 10 seats in 2015, would plummet to just 3 if new elections were held today – and fail to cross the threshold.
In addition, former Defense Minister Avidgor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu party, which won six seats in 2015, would fall to just three mandates, and also fail to cross the threshold.
If the Jewish Home and National Union lists, which ran together in 2013 and 2015, fail to reach an agreement for a joint run, each faction would receive enough votes for just two seats apiece – and fail to enter the Knesset.
The right-wing Otzma Yehudit, led by former Kach party activists Michael Ben-Ari and Baruch Marzel, would receive enough votes for three seats, but fail to cross the threshold, while Eli Yishai's Yahad would receive votes equivalent to two seats.
Moshe Feiglin's Zehut would also receive enough votes for two seats.
