1. THE 'DEAL OF THE CENTURY' MYSTERY
by Nitzan Keidar

As the Trump administration gets closer to revealing what the "Deal of the Century" includes, a political source told Arutz Sheva that Israel is still "in the dark concerning everything about the plan."

"We gave over our opinion on every issue, and there were detailed discussions. They were told that under no circumstances was Israel going to agree to a plan that did not leave them in full control up to the Jordan River, and this clearly limits the variety of possibilities. On this, we will not compromise, and we'll fight it if need be."

He said the American government knows precisely where Israel stands on the peace plan. The concern is that, since the positions of the PA, which is boycotting the US mediation, are not being heard, the president's peace team will express positions it sees as possible but which will not serve well for Israel.

The source concluded, "[The Americans] heard what we had to say. We will have to wait and see what their decisions are and what they write up."

The source also noted that the date of he plan's publication may be influenced by an additional factor: namely, whether the PM will call for early elections, in which case he might ask the US to postpone publication of the plan until after the establishment of a new coalition. The belief in the political establishment is that Trump would agree to such a postponement.

Last night, it was reported that White House peace plan envoy Jason Greenblatt was in London for a closed conference, where he mentioned that the plan will "soon" be published.

In an interview with Channel 10, Greenblatt said, no side will like everything that's written, and there will be a need to compromise. But we are confident that both sides will understand why we reached the conclusions that will be presented in the peace plan."

Greenblatt stressed that most of the rumors about the peace plan have been wrong. He also stressed that the plan should be read from beginning to end before one forms an opinion about it. "Judge our peace plan according to what it is supposed to be - a proposal for a comprehensive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict," he reportedly said.

On Friday afternoon, a report was received of four civilians being swept away in Wadi Og in southern Israel. An IAF helicopter of the Rolling Sword Squadron with the soldiers of the 669 elite search and rescue unit arrived at the scene in order to locate and rescue the civilians.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, the 669 elite unit, along with a civilian rescue unit, rescued four civilians from the Wadi. One of the civilians was evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment while the three other civilians did not need any medical attention.

In addition, IAF helicopters with the soldiers of the 669 unit are currently operating to locate and rescue civilians that were swept away in Nahal Arod in southern Israel.

3. 'THE WAY THE FUNDS WERE TRANSFERRED WAS LIKE PROTECTION MONEY'
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Chairman of the Jewish Home party and cabinet member Naftali Bennett explained to Reshet Bet why he opposed the transfer of the Qatari money to the Gaza Strip.

"The way it was done, it's protection money. I called it out as early as July for what it is. You may buy quiet for a short time but you accustom the other side to using violence to achieve their interests."

Bennett was then asked why he requested another hearing at the coalition leaders' meeting over the so-called "Sa'ar Law" (in reference to Netanyahu's perception of former Likud Minister Gidon Sa'ar as a political rival) stipulating that only the chairman of a party can form a government. He answered that in his opinion the law "doesn't help and doesn't harm. The prime minister asked that we agree to the law, and we did."

He said the Jewish Home agreed to support the basic principle of the law. However, the request for an additional hearing came after "they came on Friday with an addition to the law full of clauses." Bennett was apparently referring to another part of the bill eliminating the president's discretion in deciding who is best suited to form a government, and obligating him to choose the head of the party with the most Knesset seats.

As for the Zilber episode, Bennett stated that Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber "completely forgot her place. And she, Zilber, has started to preach as if she's at a leftist demonstration in Rabin Square."

"We need legal advisers whose politics are left at home. The question isn't why now, but how it didn't happen until now."

4. AG REQUESTED, ZILBER DECLINED
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Attorney General Dr. Avichai Mandelblit met with Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber before the Knesset Education Committee debated the law known as the "Cultural Loyalty Bill," Army Radio reported this morning, Sunday.

According to the report, Mandelblit asked Zilber to stick to what was agreed upon concerning what would be said about the bill, which is a government bill. The Justice Ministry chose not to comment or deny the report.

As will be remembered, Zilber chose to deviate from the legal and constitutional issues and made a political speech that aroused the wrath of Justice Minister Shaked and many political officials.

Among other things, Zilber said, "The face of the country has changed. These days are not simple, and they bring with them not only new laws, but also new words: governance, loyalty, overriding. A confrontational discourse that wounds the common social fabric, labels and tags - who is for us and who is against us."

"And if there is someone who is loyal, then is there someone else who is a traitor? A fifth column? Bring us obedient legal advisers, castrated artists, a restrained media, a disciplined, educated nation whose thought is uniform," she added.

Following the speech and things that Zilber had said the day before in a discussion on the legal advisers bill, Justice Minister Shaked sent a letter to the Attorney General demanding that Zilber be prevented from appearing on the various Knesset committees.

5. SWISS CITIZENS AGAINST BDS

"In the community of Barkan, near my home, there is a place where Jews and Arabs work together with equal rights for all. However, rather than bringing peace, it brings war and blood. We lost two people, both parents to small children, who were murdered by an Arab terrorist in Barkan."

So began the lecture by Attorney Nati Rom, Founder of the 'Lev HaOlam' Organization, in Brug, Switzerland. The lecture was part of a series of conferences organized throughout Switzerland by the organization.

In the conferences, which were filled to standing room only, Rom told the story of the Jewish pioneers in Judea and Samaria and the 'situation on the ground' as he describes it. 'Lev HaOlam,' the organization founded by Rom, was created in order to fight the global boycott of Judea and Samaria. While, many supermarkets boycott or mark products from Judea and Samaria, 'Lev HaOlam' works to break the walls of the boycott by marketing products from Judea and Samaria directly to citizens all of the world.

The organization, which is in contact with thousands of supporters all over the world, sends packages every month with products from Judea and Samaria to citizens in over 40 countries including many faraway places like Malaysia and Papua New Guinea.

From lecture
Lev Haolam
In the latest lectures given by Rom in many towns in Switzerland, he explains that hundreds of participants came yearning to hear the true story of the events shown on their television screens. During his flight to Switzerland, Rom learned of the terror attack in Barkan and revised his lecture to include the recent tragedy. "I show them the simple truth: They see Arabs- women, men, and children, going to work and playing without fear, just as normal lives are supposed to look. In contrast, they see our children bring brought to school in bullet proof vehicles and adults having to carry weapons with them at all times." Rom continued by explaining to the audience the struggles that residents of Judea and Samaria face every day. Among others, he highlighted the signs placed on roads leading to certain areas in Judea and Samaria. The signs state in red 'entry is forbidden to Jews and is dangerous to their lives.' Rom explains, "For the first time, those in attendance realize that there is indeed a violation of human rights in this region- just it's in the opposite direction than they thought."

The many attendees that fill the conference halls don't remain apathetic. Rene, one participant in a conference in Switzerland, said "I oppose the BDS groups. They say Israel is a 'cancer' and call for its destruction. Moreover, boycotting Israel is hypocritical! The BDS groups should invest their energy in ending the hatred by the Palestinians. The world must recognize that the vast sums of money going to the Palestinians are used for terror and educating children to terror." Rene, who is a supporter of 'Lev HaOlam,' also receives packages with products from Judea and Samaria every month. He also spreads word about the packages throughout his community and to other citizens in Switzerland. "I am convinced that we must support and stand with Israel," he emphasizes.

Bridget, another Swiss citizen who participated in the conference, said "The BDS movement is based on lies. The attempts to boycott Israel are a continuation of the old narrative to harm the Jewish people. The way to fight against this phenomenon is to explain the truth to the world. Only recently, the BDS movement in Switzerland opposed students from Swiss universities travelling to Israel to learn about World War II. They claimed there was not content in the program about the 'Palestinians.' Our obligation is to bring the truth, as detailed by Lev HaOlam, to as many young people so that they can be exposed to it and see it for themselves. I am proud to spend my own money to work on this project."

Attorney Nati Rom stated, "The strategy of the BDS groups is to tell the biggest lie of all- to call Israel an 'apartheid state.' When they do so, citizens abroad think 'Ok, so maybe they're exaggerating, but there must be some bad things happening there for them to say that.' This is why it is so important to expose this lie as much as possible.

"We are witnesses to the fact that the number of Israel supporters has only grown. Those who hate Israel are still many and this hatred is rooted in deep anti-Semitism. There is no way to speak with them. In the past, I tried to attend debates at universities, but now I operate differently: we go and strengthen those who want to support Israel and give them the tools to spread the truth."

6. KNESSET'S LAND OF ISRAEL CAUCUS WANTS TIPH OUT OF HEVRON
by Arutz Sheva Staff

The Knesset's Land of Israel caucus sent a letter to all of Israel's ministers demanding that the international monitoring organization 'TIPH' be removed from Hevron.

The Temporary International Presence in Hebron, or TIPH, is a group of European civilian observers who have operated in Hevron since 1994. Comprised of representatives from Norway, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey, TIPH says that it "monitors the situation in Hebron and records breaches of international humanitarian law".

In the letter, the members of the lobby noted that it was the Israeli government that brought the TIP observers to Hebron, and therefore the government must make the decision to remove them.

"Almost 22 years have passed and the monitors are revealed as one-sided in the full sense of the word, causing damage to IDF soldiers, Jewish residents, and the State of Israel," read the letter.

"While the Jewish community in Hebron has experienced thousands of terrorist attacks, the international observers have been careful to keep, monitor and report only on the distress of the Palestinians in the city," continued the missive.

"Unlike their mandate, they hold anti-Israeli information tours in the city, various diplomatic representatives, and joint activities with BDS organizations and activists from Israel and abroad. They regularly harass the residents and the Jews in the city, and their children and were caught on camera recently committing two serious incidents."

The lawmakers were referring to an incident back in July in which a TIPH member who took part in a tour of the Breaking the Silence organization in Tel Rumeida in Hevron slapped a 10-year-old Jewish boy. The member was arrested and forced to leave Israel by the Foreign Ministry.

A few weeks later, Netanyahu ordered the TIPH commander to be summoned for clarification by the Foreign Ministry following publication of footage on Arutz Sheva in which foreign observers are seen puncturing the tires of a car belonging to Jewish Hevron resident of Elad Fass.

The letter comes amid growing political support to remove TIPH from Hevron. Earlier this month, Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) accused TIPH of "libeling Israel' and said she would pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu to end the group's mandate.

This body has one contribution, which is to libel Israel around the world," alleged Hotovely. "They are briefing delegations that come to the region from abroad and give a distorted picture of Israel. I turned to the prime minister and recommended that we not renew their mandate in Hevron. The time has come for this temporary organization to finish its job."

7. MEN SHOUTING ABOUT KILLING JEWS END LONDON KRISTALLNACHT VIGIL
by JTA

A vigil held by pro-Israel activists in London for Jews murdered in Arab countries was dispersed violently by men shouting about killing Jews in Arabic.

The event Wednesday by the Israel Advocacy Movement was held on Speaker's Corner in London's Hyde Park, which is known for its culture of free speech and passionate street preachers championing various causes.

A few dozen people holding Israeli flags and candles gathered there ahead of Kristallnacht, the name of Nazi pogrom perpetrated in 1938, to highlight the suffering and slaying around the same time of many hundreds of Jews who were killed and wounded in pogroms across the Arab world.

Joseph Cohen, an Israel Advocacy Movement activist, filmed the event as about 20 men drowned his talk, shouting: "Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning."

The cry relates to an event in the seventh century when Muslims massacred and expelled Jews from the town of Khaybar, located in modern-day Saudi Arabia. Some of the men shouted about "Palestine," surrounding the pro-Jewish activists and shoving them.

"As if on cue, before we'd even begun an extremist began screaming a death chant of Jews," Cohen said. "The vigil went from bad to worse, they shouted us down, they would not allow us to remember our dead until we had to call off the vigil," he added. The occurrence "goes to the heart of the matter we'd gathered to commemorate in the first place," he also said.

A German woman who witnessed the event said: "A Christian was preaching and the atmosphere was friendly, a Muslim was preaching, and there were shouts but the atmosphere was still friendly but as soon as Jews wanted to honor their dead a whole of crowd appeared out of nowhere, as soon as the flags appeared, the cursing began against people who only wanted to honor their dead."

She added: "I think what we just saw was anti-Semitism."
