1. TERRORIST STRIKES TWICE IN SAMARIA
by Arutz Sheva Staff
One person was killed in a double shooting attack that took place in Samaria Sunday morning.
The first attack occurred at the Ariel Junction.
Many security forces were dispatched to the site, as well as Magen David Adom paramedics, who treated the wounded.
A short time later, the attacker apparently struck again at the Gitai Avisar Junction, a few miles west of the entrance to Ariel.
Three people were wounded in the attacks. One of the victims later died of his injuries.
An initial investigation revealed that the terrorist apparently stabbed an Israeli youth, stole his weapon and shot him. He then fired from at vehicle at the Gitai Avisar junction and fled in the direction of Barkan.
A directive was issued to close the gates in all localities in central Samaria as security forces hunt for the attacker.
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan said in response to the double attack: "We are reinforcing the heroic IDF soldiers, and rely on the defense establishment and the IDF to reach these despicable terrorists and liquidate them."
"We never break down, never retreat. Settlement in Samaria is part of the people of Israel and part of the State of Israel. All the residents of Samaria, together with all the citizens of the State of Israel, rely on the IDF and strengthen the heroic soldiers," Dagan said.

2. GERMANY CANCELS TERRORIST'S APPEARANCE
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Due to pressure by Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) and Jewish organizations in Germany, as well as a protest by Israel's ambassador to Germany, terrorist and BDS activist Rasmea Odeh's performance in Berlin was canceled and she will be removed from Germany immediately.
On Friday night, German authorities announced that Odeh's visa had been canceled, and she was banned from taking part in any political activity in the country. She did not participate in an anti-Israel event which was scheduled for Friday night in Berlin.
Germany's State Minister of the Interior Andreas Geisel emphasized that there is no place for incitement against Jews and Israel.
"The right to freedom of speech is very important, but if it is used in order to incite against the State of Israel and Jews, that crosses a red line. Berlin is a city of unity and solidarity, not of separation and propaganda," he said.
Erdan said, "Justice and logic have won. I thank the German authorities for their moral and uncompromising decision. This is a moral and important decision and I call on other countries in Europe to adopt this stance, which shows zero tolerance for terrorists who disguise themselves as human rights activists."
"Last month, Israel's Public Security Ministry published a report exposing the deep connections between terror organizations and BDS organizations. Rasmea Odeh is one of many examples which we exposed in the report titled 'Terrorists in Suits.'
"Over the past several years, Odeh has become a popular speaker who appears at BDS conferences, including on US campuses. This is not the first time Odeh has been removed immediately. Previously, the US authorities removed Odeh for lying to the authorities."
Odeh, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), spent 10 years in an Israeli prison for her role in a 1969 terrorist bombing at a Jerusalem supermarket that killed two Hebrew University students, Leon Kanner and Eddie Joffe. Israel jailed Odeh for life, but she was released in a prisoner exchange with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in 1980 and immigrated to the United States from Jordan.
Odeh obtained her U.S. immigrant visa in 1994 and her citizenship in 2004. In both applications, she failed to disclose her arrest and convictions in the bombings. She pleaded guilty to falsifying her immigration applications and was deported to Jordan in September 2017.
3. ERDOGAN TO NETANYAHU: YOU NEED TO TWIST YOUR SON'S EARS
by Hezki Baruch
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday belittled Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's son Yair, after he called Istanbul by its ancient name of Constantinople, Kan reported.
The news outlet quoted Erdogan, who spoke prior to local elections.
"You need to twist your son's ear for calling Istanbul Constantinople. I have ways of educating Israel if Netanyahu's son continues to use shameful nicknames," Kan quoted Erdogan as saying.
Two days ago, the younger Netanyahu responded to a tweet his father wrote regarding Erdogan.
"I want to remind him that Istanbul is, in essence, Constantinople!" Yair wrote. "It was the capital of the Byzantine empire and the center of Christian Orthodoxy for more than a thousand years before the Turkish conquest."
Last November, Yair called veteran journalist Amnon Abramovich a "garbage can, stupid, and a Soviet propagandist...the nation of Israel hates him."
In December, Facebook blocked Yair Netanyahu's account after he shared content banned by the platform that called for avenging the deaths of Israelis killed by Palestinian Arab terrorists.
4. YACHAD LEADER: I WON'T RUN IF RABBI MAZUZ TELLS ME NOT TO
by Michal Levi
The Yachad party run by former minister Eli Yishai on Sunday published a video clip explaining why the party decided to run independently instead of joining the Jewish Home's list.
"People ask me, 'Where's Eli Yishai, who got rid of the infiltrators and put the Supreme Court in its place?'" Yishai explained in the clip.
According to Yishai, he did not join the Jewish Home's joint list with National Union and Otzma Yehudit because he understood that they didn't fully comprehend the implications of a joint list.
"They asked me how I agreed to compromise on the ninth place, but I'm not looking to sit in the Knesset," he said. "That's why I was willing to pay such any price- because the moment I realized that my partners that my partners did not understand how important it is, and that it's a personal game, I left them."
He also said his party will do its best to succeed in the elections - unless Rabbi Mazuz tells him to quit the race.
"If Rabbi Mazus tells me, 'Forget running for the elections, we've done our best,' then I will get up and leave," Yishai emphasized. "Maybe I'm running for Knesset a bit late, but I'm going to go all the way."
Yishai's party is not expected to cross the electoral threshold.
5. TERRORIST HID IN ILLEGAL STORE NEAR ATTACK SITE
by Arutz Sheva Staff
The hunt for the terrorist who committed a deadly double attack at the Ariel junction is under way, but an initial investigation into the incident has already revealed that the terrorist hid in a store near the Ariel Junction before launching his attack.
This store is part of an illegal complex of shops and businesses that has gradually developed over the past few years in the vicinity of the Ariel Junction, without significant enforcement measures by the law enforcement authorities.
The Civil Administration issued demolition orders for buildings, but in practice did not enforce the law or actually implement the orders.
The Regavim organization said in response that "the terrorist found refuge in a place that illustrates the 'broken windows theory' according to which ignoring 'minor' instances of law-breaking will lead to a rise in serious crimes."
6. PM NETANYAHU: I AM CERTAIN WE'LL CAPTURE THE TERRORISTS
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday morning began the weekly Cabinet meeting by promising that the terrorists who carried out a double terror attack near Ariel would be apprehended.
"We are in pursuit of the terrorists at two points in the Ariel area," Netanyahu said. "I offer my support to the soldiers of the IDF, Shabak (Israel Security Agency), and the security forces who are pursuing the terrorists."
"I am certain that they will apprehend them and we will deal with them to the fullest extent of the law as we have done in all of the recent incidents."
Netanyahu also discussed last week's rocket attacks on Tel Aviv.
"Israel takes the rockets fired over the weekend from Gaza towards Israel very seriously," he said. "Hamas bears responsibility for any attacks from Gaza, whether those attacks are intentional or unintentional. I therefore ordered over 100 Hamas terror targets hit, and the IDF dealt them a severe blow."
"If need be, we will intensify our attacks and do everything necessary in order to ensure quiet for Israel's citizens."
Netanyahu also noted that "this week, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will arrive in Israel. I will discuss with him our efforts to prevent Iran's entrenchment in Syria, and most importantly, the efforts to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons."
"Together with Pompeo, I will meet Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, in order to advance the laying of a gas pipeline from Israel to Europe. This will bring enormous revenue to the State, and it will be used for the benefit of Israel's citizens."

"The second we were alerted to the launches from Gaza into our territory, we quickly prepared the squadron," Lieutenant Colonel D. said. "We brought air crew members, armed the aircraft, we brought everything we needed in order to attack the exact targets. And in fact, we completed the entire process in a very short time."
"We did everything we could in order to prevent more launches from Gaza."
"As soon as the technical department is scrambled, they have several minutes to rush to the aircraft and prepare them in the shortest time possible," Major A. said. "Last night, the technical department worked very intensely. It was a long night full of rotations. Aircraft returned and were rearmed with munitions."
"The people here ran around and worked very very very hard to perform the missions in the best and most professional way possible. Our squadron is capable of bringing large amounts of munition to the target very precisely and quickly."
He noted, "When the aircraft takes off carrying munitions and returns empty, we understand what occurred there. It usually sits somewhere in the back of your head that you are doing something very important. But in real time, we are very busy."
D. added, "Everyone in the squadron, air crews and ground crews, are here every day and night...to give you, the people of Israel, a sense of security."
"You can sleep soundly at night, we are protecting you from here," he concluded.
8. GERMAN SOCCER TEAM TO WEAR SPECIAL JERSEYS AFTER ANTI-SEMITISM
by Elad Benari
The German soccer team Ingolstadt will wear jerseys with an anti-fascist message in response to anti-Semitic abuse targeting its Israeli captain, Almog Cohen, The Associated Press reported Saturday.
On March 8, Cohen received a message via Twitter from an apparent Union Berlin fan calling the player a "Jewish brute" and demanding he be sent "to the chamber."
The message was sent after Union's 2-0 home win, a game with eight yellow cards and two reds in which Cohen was sent off, noted AP.
The club wrote on Twitter on Saturday that its main sponsor has agreed to let it carry the message "Right-wing? Only in a 4-3-3!" on the front of its jersey for its game at Paderborn on Sunday.
The tweet includes the hashtags #SayNoToRacism and #SayNoToAntisemitism.
Union issued a statement after the incident in which it said its win was overshadowed by the "disgusting anti-Semitic tweet" sent to Cohen.
The club, based in Koepenick in eastern Berlin, said it was aware of racist incidents in its stadium but that they were seldom reported to security or prosecuted.
Cohen later thanked all sides for the support he received.
"As a Jewish football professional in Germany, let me just say: I am very proud of my roots and to represent my country in the second division, and to lead Ingolstadt as captain. And that in a country where I've lived for nine years and that I appreciate for its openness," Cohen wrote on Twitter.
In recent years, there have been several anti-Semitic incidents during soccer games in Europe. In January, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Dutch police arrested five soccer supporters for allegedly singing a chant about burning Jews during a match.
In December of 2018, soccer fans in Belgium chanted about burning Jews during a match in the city of Bruges.
In April of that year, fans of the Italian soccer team Lazio taunted a Rome rival with anti-Semitic chants about Anne Frank.
In 2016, Chelsea fans were filmed singing an anti-Semitic chant on a London subway following the team's victory over Tottenham.
