1. 3 'NETZACH YEHUDA' SOLDIERS CONVICTED OF MISTREATING ARABS
by Arutz Sheva Staff

The Central Command Military Court in Jaffa on Thursday convicted three soldiers from the Netzach Yehuda Battalion of mistreating Palestinian Arabs in aggravating circumstances.

The three confessed to the offenses attributed to them, as part of a plea bargain with the military prosecution. According to the agreement, they are to serve six-and-a-half months in prison and be demoted to the rank of Private.

According to the indictment, the incident in question took place during the wave of arrests of collaborators with the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack at the Givat Assaf junction.

The soldiers, friends of Staff Sergeant Yovel Mor-Yosef and Sergeant Yossi Cohen, who were murdered in the attack, allegedly attacked Arab detainees suspected of assisting the terrorist who carried out the attack.

On Sunday the court will deliver the verdict of the three soldiers.

2. JERUSALEM: TRUCK DRIVER CRUSHED TO DEATH
by Arutz Sheva Staff

A truck driver was crushed to death Thursday afternoon after becoming trapped between a wall and the side of the truck as he unloaded it on Rabbi Raphael Katsenelbogen Street in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem.

The driver was critically injured and firefighters summoned to the scene helped extricate him. However, at this point he was no longer alive, and medics confirmed his death.

"When I arrived at the scene, I saw the young man unconscious, trapped between the truck and the wall, without the possibility of reaching him," said Har Nof MDA medic Shimon Gottlieb.

"We carried out medical tests after the rescue operations as soon as possible, but he had suffered severe systemic injury and had no vital signs, and we were left with no choice but to confirm his death," Gottlieb added.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Michael Gruskot, who was one of the first responders at the scene said: "When I arrived at the scene on my ambucycle, I saw the truck driver, a man in his early 20s, trapped against the wall of the Yeshiva after his truck had pinned him there. He was in critical condition. Firefighters worked to extricate the driver from the truck. After he was extricated he was pronounced dead at the scene."

3. OFER PRISON NEGLIGENCE LEADS TO PREMATURE DETAINEE RELEASE
by Mordechai Sones

A serious security breach occurred in Ofer Prison at the beginning of the week, when an Arab detainee was mistakenly released due to an Israel Prison Service (IPS) bureaucratic fumble, Yediot Ahronot reported this morning.

The unusual incident aroused great anger towards the IPS among defense establishment officials who claimed the lapse, caused by irresponsibility and negligence, could have also occurred with a terrorist with blood on his hands, and therefore must not be disregarded.

As a result of the failure, the Acting Israel Prison Service Director ordered the establishment of an internal inquiry commission, the results of which would apparently lead to command actions and dismissals.

The first details that emerged from the investigation of the incident and reached Yediot Ahronot indicate that the detainee was arrested by the IDF and Shin Bet for illegal assembly and association, and since then has been detained until the end of the proceedings.

He was later released, despite the fact that a week earlier, the IPS was sent an administrative detention order against the detainee for four months. However, the form did not reach the relevant hands and he was mistakenly released.

4. 'WHOEVER REJECTS JEWISH EXTREMISTS SUPPORTS TERRORISM'
by Rabbi Yaakov Ariel

I don't usually deal in politics, but I cannot remain silent in the face of injustice done in the name of justice.

Torah morality requires expressing reservations about incorrect quotations and interpretations stated in the name of the Torah. For this reason, some positions and statements by right-wing extremists should be dismissed. Even if they themselves aren't preaching violence, young disciples who aren't fully developed may take away the impression that hatred and aggression against foreigners are both permitted and desirable. This is not the way of Torah. But for that very reason we must dismiss moralistic declarations that create much more serious moral injustice.

The playing-field of Knesset political power is no synagogue where Torah is expounded from an ideal perspective.

Let us be circumspect: We're in an emergency. In these elections the blocs may be balanced, and a single vote could tip the scales for good or for bad (Oslo was decided in the Knesset by a single vote, with the votes of the Arab parties and two deserters, who were probably then also called "men of justice and morality").

Throwing tens of thousands of votes equivalent to two Knesset seats, if not more, in the trash could tilt the balance to the other side. On the other side of the equation are the Arab parties, by whom terrorism is supported not only in speech but also by deed (and yet they are considered socially acceptable by those "justice-seekers"). It comes out that those who reject Jewish extremists in the name of morality and justice actually support Arab terrorism and are doing something immoral!

We don't nitpick in a time of danger. This is what the verse means: "Do not be overly-righteous."

In these elections not only serious security questions are raised, but also existential national questions regarding the Jewish identity of the State. For example, business on Saturdays. Shabbat is not only a supreme religious value, but also a social and moral value. Business on the Sabbath creates coercion for workers and business owners, who are desperate for rest on Shabbat, and unfair competition. The Arabs should not be relied upon to defend the Jewish character of the State and the honor of the Sabbath more than extremist Jews. On this subject too, any concession of a vote that would support the Jewish identity of the State creates moral injustice.

In this emergency, there's also no place to quibble about representation. The religious Zionist spectrum is large and broad and contains many tints and shades. Since many members of religious Zionism prefer to be involved in other bodies, religious Zionist representation is necessarily reduced. And when it becomes crowded, deprivation is necessarily created.

The Torah of Israel, the Land of Israel, and the People of Israel stand above all calculations and ethical platitudes. Partial justice that ignores the whole is unjust.

"Justice, justice shall you pursue, so that you may live and inherit the Land."

The full article will appear in the Hebrew Olam Katan magazine, to be distributed at the end of the week in synagogues.

5. EVANGELICAL LEADER: CHECK REP OMAR'S TIES TO MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN) has called upon the U.S. Justice Department to launch a full and thorough investigation into Ilhan Omar's possible connections to the subversive Muslim Brotherhood group. Cardoza-Moore, who hosts the popular Christian television program Focus On Israel which reaches a global weekly audience of over one billion viewers in 200 nations, has launched a nationwide campaign and petition demanding Omar's dismissal from Congress. Now she has revealed that Omar may be in violation of a federal statute by fundraising for Muslim Brotherhood affiliates whose mission is to destroy America.

"While she has already established her credentials as a vehement anti-Semite, Ilhan Omar is far worse than that. Omar may be in violation of a federal statute for fundraising for two Muslim Brotherhood charities that seek to destroy America. We the people demand that the Justice Department conduct a full and thorough investigation into her possible connections with the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates. Omar's anti-Semitic comments do not reflect the values of Americans," said Laurie Cardoza-Moore. The recent revelation of Omar's participation as a keynote speaker at events for the Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups IRUSA and CAIR suggests her support for subversive factions aligned to destroy America and Western civilization itself.

Cardoza-Moore added: "American patriots have signed our petition in the tens of thousands. We won't stop our national campaign until Ilhan Omar is fully investigated and justice is served. How can a representative of the United States raise money for terrorist groups that seek our demise and equally serve on the House Foreign Relations Committee, or for that matter, as a member of Congress?"

Omar was a keynote speaker for Islamic Relief USA in Tampa, FL last month and will be keynote speaker at an upcoming Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser in Los Angeles. CAIR is the American arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, in addition to close ties to Hamas and Hezbollah, CAIR was listed as an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the largest terrorist fundraising operation in the history of the United States known as the Holy Land Foundation Trial in 2009.

During the Holy Land Foundation investigation, the FBI uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood memo, An Explanatory Memorandum On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America 5/22/1991, which mapped out the organization's plan to infiltrate and destroy America. The memorandum stated: The Ikhwan [brothers] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

At the conclusion of the trial, David Kris, then Assistant Attorney General for National Security stated, "These sentences should serve as a strong warning to anyone who knowingly provides financial support to terrorists under the guise of humanitarian relief."

Additionally, IRUSA is an arm of the largest Muslim fundraising group globally whose leaders have ties to terrorist groups. According to a 36-page report from the Middle East Forum, the founder of Islamic Relief, Hany El-Banna, has been involved with several organizations with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, including once serving as the trustee of the Muslim Aid charity that has funneled money to Hamas.

As a student, El-Banna was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood organization Federation of Student Islamic Societies. El-Banna has also praised the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan Al Bana for being "held in so much awe and respect."

Is IRUSA hiding behind the same "humanitarian-aide" cloak the Holy Land Foundation did? Is Ilhan Omar helping to advocate the support of the Muslim Brotherhood's overthrow of our Government? American citizens demand an answer to these questions!

Under 18 U.S. Code § 2385. Advocating overthrow of Government: "Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof-Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned…"

Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN), a 501c3 non-profit organization, was established to educate Christians to stand with Jews and Israel against the rise of global anti-Semitism. In recent months the organization has led the struggle against BDS in America with a wave of state resolutions and as exposed textbooks used in U.S. schools that are indoctrinating our children with inaccurate historical information, bias and values that do not reflect our nation. Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations is the show host of the Evangelical docu-style program Focus On Israel which reaches a weekly global audience of over 1 billion in 200 nations.

6. FIRST PHOTOS FROM ISRAELI SPACECRAFT
by Arutz Sheva Staff

At a distance of 37,600 k"m from Earth, Beresheet's selfie camera took a picture of Earth.

Australia can be clearly seen in the picture.

The photo was taken during a slow spin of the spacecraft.

In it, one can see for the first time the plaque installed on the spacecraft with the Israeli flag and the inscriptions "Am Israel Hai" (the nation of Israel lives - ed.) and "Small country Big dreams."

Science Minister Ofir Akunis commented, "Despite the small size of the Beresheet spacecraft, it brings us great pride."

"The spacecraft is a testament to Israel's strength and technological power, and its successes also convey an important educational message for the children of Israel: You may and must dream big.

"I am proud of my office's decision to be a partner in the spacecraft project, a project whose fruits we are beginning to witness."

7. ATTEMPTED TERROR ATTACK IN LONDON
by Gary Willig

Three suspicious packages were found at different transit hubs in London Tuesday.

Improvised explosive devices (IED) were found at Waterloo Station, Heathrow Airport, and London City Airport.

The devices are "igniting a small fire when opened," according to police.

"The Met Police Counter Terrorism Command has launched an investigation after three suspicious packages were received at buildings in London today, Tuesday, 5 March," the police said in a statement.

"The packages - all A4-sized white postal bags containing yellow Jiffy bags - have been assessed by specialist officers to be small improvised explosive devices.

"These devices, at this early stage of the investigation, appear capable of igniting an initially small fire when opened.

"The Met Police Counter Terrorism Command is treating the incidents as a linked series and is keeping an open mind regarding motives."

Operations at Waterloo Station will be reduced Tuesday evening as a result of the attempted bombing.

8. 'WE WILL NOT BE A FIG LEAF TO DIVIDE THE LAND'
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shlomo Ne'eman rejected the Blue and White party's political platform in which it pledged not to withdraw from the "settlement blocs," but did not rule out other large-scale withdrawals in Judea and Samaria.

"Gush Etzion will not be used as a fig leaf for those who want to divide the land and uproot thousands of Jews from their homes for false hopes and photographs on the White House lawn," Ne'eman said.

"The concept of two-states is completely irrelevant - politically and morally irrelevant.

"There must be one rule of law for all communities in Judea and Samaria when it comes to building, development, and the implementation of Israeli sovereignty."

The Blue and White party platform, which was released on Monday, states that there will be no unilateral disengagement from Judea and Samaria and that there will be no withdrawal from four strategic areas: the 'settlement blocs, 'the Jordan Valley, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. The terms "two-state solution" and "Palestinian state" are replaced by a call for a "Regional Conference to Promote Separation from the Palestinians."
