1. REPORT: HAMAS TO STOP ARSON TERROR
by Arutz Sheva Staff

The Palestinian Authority news agency Ma'an published the details of the potential ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas and the other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip Friday.

The report is based on the statements of a senior member of the Palestinian Arab delegation in Cairo. The main points in the Hamas demands included in the agreement include: lifting the blockade, supplying electricity for 20 hours a day, allowing all civilian goods into the Gaza Strip, operating the safe passage from Gaza to Judea and Samaria, and establishing a sea and air port in the Gaza Strip.

The official claimed that there was no demand to stop the demonstrations on the Gaza border but it was agreed that Hamas would prevent the participants from approaching the border fence and would stop launching incendiary kites and balloons at Israel.

A senior Hamas source said that the issue of the civilians and bodies of Israeli soldiers held by Hamas would not be discussed until Israel's intentions regarding the lifting of the blockade were clarified. He estimated that the issue would be relevant two months after the implementation of the ceasefire.

On Wednesday, a political source said that the Israeli Security Cabinet had decided that any future arrangement with Hamas would include the return of the fallen soldiers and civilians held in the Gaza Strip.

"There will be no real arrangement with Hamas without the return of our boys and citizens to the home and the promise of quiet for a long time. The current calm is the result of aggressive IDF activity that will continue as necessary. In light of this, the Kerem Shalom operation was renewed and the fishing area was opened," the source said.

4. PATRICK STEWART LEAVES LABOUR OVER CORBYN
by Gary Willig

Sir Patrick Stewart, the British actor made famous by his role as Captain Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek the Next Generation, has announced that he will not vote for the Labour Party again out of concern over the policies of current party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

The actor cited concerns over Corbyn's support for Brexit when discussing his feelings about the Labour party with The New European.

"I am not a politician and I am not a strategist, but I have a suspicion Jeremy believes a disastrous Brexit would benefit him politically, and, in all the chaos and confusion that would occur after the policy is implemented – in either a hard or a soft way, I might add – he sees himself taking power. It seems to me to be just plain wrong to play with the country's future in this way," Stewart said.

"What Jeremy doesn't appear to understand is that it would be the easiest thing in the world to attack the government on Brexit and to oppose it at every turn and to tear apart their arguments and expose it for what it is.

"There is, after all, nothing that is more opposed to basic Labour values than Brexit and I think just about everyone except him can now see that."

Stewart added that while he has supported Labour since 1945, he now finds it "difficult to understand what Labour really stands for or what it represents right now. It doesn't feel like my party any more."

The Star Trek star had previously expressed support for Corbyn, but that support faded after a meeting between the two where Corbyn became annoyed at the television and movie star.

Corbyn has faced growing criticism for allowing anti-Semitism to thrive in the Labour party and for attending a ceremony in honor of the terrorists responsible for the murder of Israeli athletes during the Munich Massacre.

Stewart mentioned that he was also upset by Corbyn's inability to effectively handle problems such as anti-Semitism.

In 2012, Stewart visited Israel. After his visit, he tweeted: "I will miss Israel–the place, the people, the food."

5. DR. ADELSON'S GRANDDAUGHTER AMONG 350 YOUNG OLIM
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Hundreds of young Jewish men and women from around the world have immigrated to Israel in recent days in preparation for their enlistment in the IDF as part of the Tzofim Garin Tzabar and Tzofim Itanu in the United States. The opening ceremony of the 2018 session was held in Tel Aviv in the presence of the wife of the prime minister, Sara Netanyahu and other senior officials.

Among the new olim was Shira Lukatz, the granddaughter of Dr. Miriam Adelson, The event was held at the Smolarz Auditorium at Tel Aviv University. She joined 350 other young people who were making Aliya and joining the IDF.

The Tzabar organization began its activities in 1991 with the aim of creating a group framework of support and guidance for young Jews and Israelis from all over the world who are moving to Israel to serve full and meaningful service in the IDF. Each year, the program brings more than 40 young men and women, Jews and children of Israeli expats, to Israel. To date, more than 1,100 lone soldiers have been involved

Tzabar works to assist the individual and group absorption process in Israel throughout the program, through the integration of young people in Jewish communities, close guidance, counseling and support for individual soldiers before, during and after their service. The data show that 30% of participants in the program go to the army, and at the end of their military service about 80% of the graduates choose to remain in Israel and establish their home in Israel.

Sarah Netanyahu told the olim: "Welcome home! Israel is home to all the Jews of the world. It is all of our home. You have left to come here from all over the world. You have left a warm home and a loving family, leaving behind college and friends and choosing to immigrate to Israel to serve in the IDF. There is no better example of Zionism. Every year that I come here to receive you, I talk about my acquaintance with the program."

President of the Sabra Group in the US, publisher and owner of the Yisrael Hayom newspaper, Dr. Miriam Adelson said: "This is a double honor for me, first because I point to your important decision to serve Israel and thank your parents who raised you well, and second, because this year my granddaughter is here with you."

Dr. Adelson saluted her granddaughter Shira Lukatz: "We are proud of you and love you. You are all here to 'build and be built.' Israel must be protected, even with great sacrifice."

Shira Lukastz said: "The army will be tough. We are all very aware of this. Parents, do not worry, we will definitely call you every chance we get, but I have no doubt that this group of courageous, brave, motivated and passionate young people will be fine. And we will be able to take advantage of the amazing opportunity that the Sabra kernel has given us. "

Global CEO of Tzofim Elad Sandrovich said: "This week we are absorbing the summer cycle, new immigrants who will soon enlist as lone soldiers for significant positions in about 50 units, and behind each of them is an amazing Zionist story, and we are proud to be there for them."

A woman in her 40s was murdered in a ramming terrorist attack that took place Thursday night near Havat Gilad in Samaria.

Magen David Adom paramedics attempted to resuscitate the victim, but were forced to declare her death.

IDF forces searched the area for the terrorist, who later surrendered himself to the authorities.

Samaria Regional Councilhead Yossi Dagan said in response to the attack: "From the point of view of the command echelons in the field, and from our point of view, this is a terrorist attack for all intents and purposes. From our point of view, this is another serious act of cold-blooded murder of a Samaria resident on the road."

In January, Rabbi Raziel Shevach of Havat Gilad was murdered in a drive-by shooting attack.

8. SHIN BET HEAD WARNS GAZA DEAL WILL STRENGTHEN HAMAS
by Tzvi Lev

Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) chief Nadav Argaman recently warned the political-security cabinet that pushing for the inking of a ceasefire deal with Hamas would diminish Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas' influence in the Gaza Strip and strengthen Hamas in Judea and Samaria.

According to a Hadashot 2 report on Thursday, Argaman warned of the implications of contacts between Israel and Hamas, saying that a ceasefire would prove to the terrorists that violence pays. "Such a move will also weaken the moderates and prove to the Palestinians that only through violence does Israel achieve results," the spymaster allegedly said.

Argaman's remarks echo similar sentiments that Jewish Home chairman Naftali Bennett expressed earlier on Thursday. According to Bennett, a deal with Hamas would encourage the terror group to up its involvement of terrorism in the future.

"After 140 days of rockets, snipers, and Molotov cocktails, Hamas learned that terrorism has paid off ... The truth is that the Israel-Hamas agreement is a mistake and the concept of containment has failed," he contended.

Bennett also vehemently rejected Liberman's view that Israel could persuade the Gaza Arabs to replace the Hamas government: "The message has been received. Terrorism pays, Hamas fires rockets at us and Israel collapses."

"Our job is not to convince but to neutralize Hamas' strength and its ability to harm the citizens of Israel," added Bennett.
