Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor, John Bolton, in the Prime Minister's Office Monday morning, a day after Bolton arrived in Israel.

During the talks, Bolton lamented the "wretched" 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, better known as the Iran nuclear deal. Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his agreement, calling the deal "disastrous" and "terrible".

"By removing the sanctions, [the deal] enabled Iran to bring in billions and billions of dollars to its coffers, which only fueled Iran's war machine in Syria, in Lebanon, in Yemen and elsewhere," said Netanyahu

"I believe that the president's decision to leave the disastrous Iran deal was nothing less than a hinge of history. Israel applauds the Trump administration's determination to reimpose tough sanctions on Iran."

The National Security Advisor also told Netanyahu that the Trump administration views preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon as a matter of the "highest importance".

"It is a question of the highest importance for the United States that Iran never get a deliverable nuclear weapons capability," Bolton told Netanyahu at a press conference Monday.

"It's why President Trump withdrew from the wretched Iran nuclear deal. It is why he is reimposing economic sanctions."

Bolton also told the Israeli premier that the White House is exerting pressure on key European allies to drop their support for the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

Trump's advisor added that the White House was similarly concerned with Iran's efforts to bankroll Islamic terrorism around the world.

Netanyahu praised Bolton and President Donald Trump, and said that the administration had strengthened the US-Israel relationship.

"As I mentioned last night, we have known each other for many decades, and you have been a consistent champion of our alliance in and out of government. It is a wonderful alliance, and Israel believes that it has no greater friend and ally than the United States. I believe that the United States has no greater friend and ally than Israel. It is a peculiar kind of ally: we have consistently increased out defense spending, we insist on defending ourselves by ourselves, and appreciate all manner of American support."

"Under President Trump that alliance has grown stronger than it has ever been."

The two also met for dinner Sunday night, shortly after Bolton's arrival in Israel.

The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and Israeli Ambassador to the United States Ron Dermer.

During the meeting Sunday night, Netanyahu hailed Bolton as a "tremendous champion of the America-Israel alliance."

"It's a great honor to be here," Bolton responded. "It's great to see you again and talk about the US-Israel relationship.

The two are expected to hold a series of meetings over the next three days, with a primary focus on Iran's nuclear aspirations and US sanctions on Tehran. Bolton is also expected to discuss efforts by the US and Israel to secure the removal of all Iranian forces from Syria, and interim solutions for the Gaza Strip.

"Your visit here gives us the opportunity... to align our policies even more closely, on Iran, on Syria, on Gaza, and on the many challenges that face both our countries in this region," Netanyahu said Monday.

"Good seeing PM Netanyahu last night - thank you for the hospitality @IsraeliPM," Bolton tweeted Monday morning. "Looking forward to productive conversations over the next few days."

2. IRAN: EU MUST SPEED UP EFFORTS TO SAVE NUCLEAR DEAL
by Tzvi Lev

Iran called on the European Union to accelerate its efforts to save the 2015 nuclear deal as the US tightens sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

"Europeans and other signatories of the deal (China and Russia) have been trying to save the deal ... but the process has been slow. It should be accelerated," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi.

The comments come two weeks after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order officially reinstating U.S. sanctions against Iran.

The sanctions target Iran's access to American dollars and steel and automobile industries, ban trade with Iran in gold and other precious metals, and include other sanctions which were lifted under the 2015 deal.

Additional sanctions will be imposed on November 4, targeting Iran's oil and shipping industries.

The sanctions were reimposed three months after Trump abandoned the nuclear deal under which sanctions on Iran were lifted in return for curbs to its nuclear program. Trump pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal in May, but has called for direct negotiations and emphasized his willingness to re-evaluate his decision if changes to the deal are made.

Iran recently reopened a nuclear plant that was idle for nine years as it prepared to increase uranium enrichment capacity in response to Trump leaving the 2015 deal.

Earlier this month, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called Trump's offer to talk "psychological warfare." Last month, Iran's Interior Minister Abdul Razza Rakhmani Fazi rejected Trump's call as well, insisting the US is untrustworthy and therefore Iran cannot recognize it as a negotiating partner.

3. WATCH: SCARIEST ROLLER COASTER IN THE WORLD
by Reut Hadar

The Canadian Wonderland amusement park near Toronto will launch next year the longest, fastest and highest roller coaster of its kind in the world.

The roller coaster will be called "Yukon Striker" and will reach a maximum speed of 80 miles an hour, and the length of the trip will be 1,208 yards. Passengers will go through 4 complete loops of 360 degrees.

As if that's not enough, the frightening ride also involves a vertical descent from about 82 yards into an underwater canal.

In addition, the roller coaster cars will have no floor to allow you to see the landscape whirling before your eyes. Don't forget to fasten your seatbelt.

4. ELOR AZARIYA'S FATHER FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST POLICE
by Tal Polon

The father of former IDF infantry soldier Elor Azariya filed a complaint with the Police Internal Investigations Unit (Mahash) on Monday, after the rejection of his son Elor's weapon permit application was leaked to the media even before Elor himself had received a response, 0404 reported.

Former soldier Elor Azariya was released from military prison in May, after serving a sentence for a manslaughter conviction over the shooting death in March 2016 of a wounded terrorist in Hevron. The terrorist was suspected of carrying a suicide vest and had already wounded another soldier before Elor opened fire.

After his release, Elor had submitted an application for a weapons license, but police last week announced the rejection of the application, claiming that Azariya's past actions and conviction proved that he posed a threat to the public, and denying that his life was in danger - despite the request by MK Nava Boker (Likud) to have the state allow Azariya to carry a weapon over danger to his life.

According to 0404, following media reports that Elor's application had not been accepted, Charlie had called the Interior Ministry to inquire about the status of the application and was told that a decision had not yet been made. However, hours later, according to the report, it became clear that a decision had, indeed been made, and that the reports had been accurate.

Charlie Azariya expressed outrage that the decision to reject Elor's application had been leaked to the media even before Elor had received an official response, and vowed to take action.

"I do not intend to give in," he told 0404. "Police leak to the media before the applicant receives a response. This is very bad, and only proves the conscious efforts to harm us. How can it be that a policeman leaks from the system to the media? I demand that justice be carried out in this matter."

Following the application rejection, Elor uploaded a Facebook post expressing his feeling that the rejection was another "stab in the back" and a "spit in the face" from the state.

"For 26 months I absorbed a lot of pain, disappointment, and many stabs in the back surrounding them non-stop. Unfortunately, today, I received another one, as well as a spit in the face. I really did not believe that they would say something like that about me after all that I gave and absorbed for the security of the state, it really hurts and is burdensome and tears me inside, and despite this I say again: I have no other country."

He explained that he had applied for the weapon license after receiving death threats from terror groups.

"As is known to everyone, my family and I have received and still receive constant threats to our lives from terror groups, and we also received a rifle bullet in the mailbox. We complained about this more than once to Israel Police and to the IDF during my time in one of the detention facilities and, 'amazingly,' nothing was done. It is important for me to emphasize to all those groups that my family and I will continue living in a normal way despite your threats, and that you don't scare us."

5. PEPSI TO PICK UP ISRAEL'S SODASTREAM FOR $3.2 BILLION
by David Rosenberg

Israel's SodaStream is about to be picked up by one of the world's largest beverage producers in a multi-billion dollar deal.

PepsiCo, which produces not only Pepsi Cola but a wide range of snacks, beverages, and other food products ranging from Lipton Teas to Cheetos to Quaker brand oatmeal products, announced Monday morning its plans to acquire SodaStream at $144 a share – a 32% premium over SodaStream's estimated stock value before the deal.

The total value of the acquisition is $3.2 billion, PepsiCo said.

SodaStream, which was initially based in the town of Mishor Adumim, east of Jerusalem, relocated across the Green Line in 2015 to pre-1967 Israel following boycott threats, laying off some 500 Palestinian Authority residents it had employed.

The Israel-based company is best known for its home carbonation units, which allow consumers to carbonate their own water or soft drinks. SodaStream's home carbonation units have competed with beverage producers like PepsiCo, allowing consumers to produce carbonated drinks on demand at a fraction of the price of traditional soft drinks.

PepsiCo chief financial officer Hugh Johnston told CNBC that the acquisition would give his company access to the growing market of home-made beverages.

"We get to play in a business, home beverages, where we don't play."

"SodaStream is highly complementary and incremental to our business, adding to our growing water portfolio, while catalyzing our ability to offer personalized in-home beverage solutions around the world," PepsiCo's president, Ramon Laguarta, said in a statement.

6. WITHOUT A DEAL, ISRAEL WILL END UP WITH 'MOHAMMAD' AS PM
by David Rosenberg

Israel is in danger of losing its Jewish majority and character as a Jewish state if no peace deal is reached between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Jordan's King Abdullah II recently told President Donald Trump, Israeli media reported Sunday night.

In response, Trump replied that in the absence of a final status agreement, Israel would likely have an Arab prime minister.

According to a report by Channel 10 Sunday evening, the discussion took place during President Trump's meeting with King Abdullah at the White House on June 25th.

The comments were made in private, but were shared by King Abdullah with France's Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves le Drian earlier this month, Channel 10 claimed.

The report was confirmed, Channel 10 said, by US and Israeli officials.

"Many young Palestinians no longer want two states," King Abdullah is quoted as telling President Trump during the White House meeting. "They want one state with equal rights. The result would be Israel losing its Jewish character."

President Trump said, somewhat jokingly the report claimed, that "there's logic in that."

"In a few years Israel will have a prime minister named Muhammad."

The president also told the Hashemite monarch that his administration was best suited for achieving a final status agreement between Israel and the PA.

"I want to advance a peace agreement in the Middle East because if my administration can't get a deal, no administration can."

King Abdullah balked at the prospect of a new US-backed peace plan, given the current regional tensions.

"Don't present the plan now; there are too many difficulties right now," Abdullah is quoted as saying.

The attack occurred late on Saturday night, when the security guard refused to allow the attacker to enter the nightclub, AFP noted. The attacker is believed to have been drunk at the time.

Moshe Cohen, a resident of Bnei Brak, has always been a happy baby. He is his parents' first - and only child. But Moshe was born with a severe birth defect which prevents him from leading a normal life. His parents, Tamar and Shlomo Cohen, have turned to doctors in Israel for help. The doctors have offered a solution that is nearly impossible.

Upon expert medical advice, Moshe has been referred for complex surgery to Dr. Warren Snodgrass. Based in Texas, Dr. Snodgrass is a world renowned urologist, an expert at this type of pediatric surgery. Only in Texas will the two-month-old Moshe be able to undergo successful surgery to enable him to lead a normal life. Corrective surgery is necessary as soon as possible, ideally at the age of 6 months. Now Moshe is two months old, the Cohens have 4 months in which to raise the immense sum needed for surgery. Save Moshe's life now!

Moshe will require two, perhaps even three, surgeries before he is a year old. The surgeries are extremely complicated, as they deal with an extremely sensitive part of the body. In this video, Moshe's mother describes their situation. Her calm demeanor belies the pain that she feels on behalf of her firstborn child. The cost of so many surgeries comes to an astronomical $70,000. The Cohens are a young couple: the surgery is far beyond their simple budget.

Tamar, Moshe's mother, has started an emergency fund to pay for life-saving surgery for Moshe. Any mother can relate to her fears for her child's future, the worries over a firstborn and only child are even more heartbreaking.
